Just to pile on…
Original 8K downgrade to 5K+ backer, upgrade 8KX order with DMAS (#SO48XX) on 31 October 2019 … nothing. No tracking number email, tracking number absent on store account.
Happy to see December orders getting their headsets, but I now consider myself a member of the #theForgotten. Pimax, where’s the love for the “ship by order date” promise?

This situation makes me wonder if there is some sort of (serious) issue with Pimax’s order tracking database.
@PimaxQuorra @hammerhead_gal, Can we please have an official response as to why these orders appear to be overlooked / delayed? Thank you.
[update] Reply is below: More than half of the recent X packages were shipped via a freight forwarder rather than FedEx

Yeah I was wondering this. A meaningful explanation from Pimax would be nice.
It’s as if Pimax’s db records are in a format that are incompatible with Fedex (perhaps built to work with another company?), and so Fedex’s system is going ‘nope this is not processable’ and halting deliveries.
Then, Pimax are having to manually (read: slowly, painfully, haphazardly) update individual orders to make them work with the Fedex system.
Above is pure speculation, but hard to believe this is 100% Fedex. Virus or not, they’re a delivery company. They just need the data in the right format.
I think the end of September deadline for all backers and pre-orders is looking increasingly unlikely at this stage 
And I remember us joking back in May that their claim of June / July meant August / September. They couldn’t even manage that.

I got a message that the red silicone mask that I reserved, ordered and payed that same day, one year ago! is no longer available, out of stock. They didn’t want to send me it separately.

Oh pimax,
received my 8KX on friday 11. sept. without any information before (no email, no shop info, no tracking number). Today monday 14. sept. i get an email from pimax that my sending status changed and now i see a tracking number for my order at store.pimaxvr.com.
The 8KX is perfect. Its a very good product, i like it.

Pimax seem to be under the impression that it doesn’t matter what order they get shipped in as they will all get shipped by the end of the month(which I highly doubt) but what they cant seem to understand is people have schedules and lives they need to live and to be left completely in the dark on when their $1500 product is going to randomly show up(because Pimax still doesn’t understand what a tracking number is apparently) is not how to do it. My 5k+ sat outside for a week because I wasn’t informed it had arrived and wasn’t home. They same thing better not happen for my 8kx because I again will not be home. We need some damn information…

That sucks. Do you have a neighbor or friend that you can contact to keep an eye on your porch while you’re gone? Maybe have em take look every couple days or something from their window? Let em know that you’re expecting a box this month, that way they can hold it for you.

I’ve got a friend that comes by once a week to get my mail. Its unfair to ask him to show up every single day to keep an eye on a package that Pimax may or may not send this month. If I had a tracking number I could give it to him to keep an eye on but that is too tall of an order for Pimax apparently…

It’s hard to believe how poorly this is being handled. Last time I was so angry… this time I’m more apathetic. Maybe the anger comes after the shock has settled.

I am backer-upgrade SO6*** from 11.11.2019. I got no information/tracking info from Pimax but local delivery company just contacted me about tax/duty processing for the 8kX parcel. So it seems shipping is actually happening, we are just getting no information about it. It is quite possible for all orders before august to be shipped (probably not delivered) by the end of the month.
Honestly I would not care too much about backers before preorders as the production is probably speeding up so the difference should be matter of weeks at most (and since my batch is already close it is probably still the one with only one foam and metal hinges with less freedom of movement). It is bit unfortunate though that we got no email about product being shipped, I think it would calm the forums a bit if people knew it was already on its way.

For me having the tracking number for almost 2 weeks adds more to the confusion, as the status never got past label created, I’m left wondering has the parcel being sent or lost or still sitting in the corner of pimax office.

I still have a pending tracking label from pimax in fed ex from over a month and a half ago from when they sent my eye tracker. My eye tracker arrived back in Aug but the tracking label was never updated and still says waiting on pickup.

Complete mess again lol … I can’t believe the incompetence. I suggest all Pimax engineers to go start a new company cause every other part of the organization is just woefully incompetent.
