Pimax Play 1.44.1

Having been offered the update, and declined it initially, on account of having just set up my B777 from cold & dark (and wanting to fly!), I am unable to locate the update again.
As always happens, I am told that my headset and Pimax Play are up-to-date,
What is the point of update options in Pimax Play, if they are unaware that an update is available?
I appreciate that I could reinstall from scratch, but this will not solve the problem of update options not working as expected.

Im also having the same issue with my Crystal Super with the 8K Micro Oled display !!

Just a heads up

Good Morning
We’d love to have World Scale.
Thanks
Seb

Just noticed 1.44.2 has been available for download with specific fixes for the flagship micro OLED problems mentioned in this thread. (Released yesterday but might be deceiving because of the different timezones).

I surely hope this is fixing the problems as I’m afraid to update anything these days. Not only Pimax software though, Microsoft is king in breaking stuff next to nVidia

Regrettably, the controller presence detection/capacitive touch mapping for OpenXR remains completely broken in 1.44.1 and 1.44.2.

  • The Core Bug: Even when a finger is completely removed from the index trigger, the Pimax OpenXR runtime continuously reports the input state as “touched but not depressed.” The baseline state is failing to reach a true hardware zero.

  • Impact on Gameplay: This completely breaks the “pointing” gesture in native titles like Lone Echo. Because the game thinks your finger is constantly resting on the trigger, you cannot point to interact with buttons, activate the head lamp, or toggle the visor, rendering the game unplayable.

  • Cross-Testing Results: Testing via standalone Revive proves the hardware sensors are fine—Revive maps the capacitive touch states correctly and the pointing gesture works. However, Revive is not a viable workaround due to the unfixable Linear vs. sRGB gamma mismatch that washes out the Crystal Light’s black levels.

We desperately need an engineered fix in the native Pimax OpenXR runtime for this touch mapping logic, or at least a deadzone/threshold configuration exposed to the user so we can manually filter out this micro-input noise.

Hello, I have a Crystal Super Ultra Wide monitor and since this update I find the image more comfortable to watch during long sessions, but on the other hand, I have a lot of aliasing and flickering that I didn’t have before on the previous version with the same settings, as if the quadview is malfunctioning. And I’ve noticed FPS spikes that I didn’t have before. I noticed that when I set the scale to 1.2, I no longer have this aliasing and flickeringbut with a significant performance drop.

Noted. Let me pass this to the dev.

We haven’t revised any profiles for the UW. Could you please file a ticket and include the log files so our tech team can take a look at the aliasing and flickering issues?

hi ok i send the ticket soon
