Pimax 60g Air Link

The WiFi Airlink update has been shared in another thread, where the software team has already provided the latest details.

A patch will be released shortly, which will include this feature. Users who are interested in testing it will need to submit their headset firmware version and serial number so we can push the headset firmware update to their device.

As for the 60G Airlink, we’ve prepared an update and are currently confirming the details with the team. Once finalized, we’ll publish it.

That does not do many of us much good, especially when the forum you reference is for people only in the beta program.

I know I personally applied for the wifi program and never heard anything back after filling out the forum.

I would love for there to be a more official update on this on the main stream media page and not just something here in the forums where not everyone checks. Im sure others are curious too.

If there are any official software or hardware updates, we’ll publish them across various channels, including our social media.

So the new Pimax Play 2.0 has rolled out as you mentioned, but still no mention of the Wifi Airlink, can you share with us the status of Wifi Airlink please?

We will roll out the headset firmware update gradually to users, starting from Monday.

I get it the patch is rolling out gradually, but in the post for pimax play 2.0, there is no mention of Crystal og firmware and wifi airlink in the patch note, I just want a confirmation of if the feature was indeed in pimax play 2.0?

I was also wondering that. It made mention of the super, and light but nothing of the original. That is definitely something that should be added to the patch notes

Any updates on when the next group of beta testers will be added to the wifi beta branch since we still haven’t heard any additional updates on the air link. I applied a while back and still haven’t been accepted into the program or added to the channel and was curious how progress is coming along.

Trust me, you don’t want wifi airlink right now, it’s very much unusable with a plethora of bugs from black flickering to crunchy audio all the way to the headset straight up turning off randomly while using it

Although to give them some credit

It pairs very quickly to the PC, no matter how many monitors are plugged in, much better experience of turning it on than using the cable

I feel like quite a bit of what people are experiencing may be interference/packet loss not necessarily bugs. That said, If that’s the case Pimax probably needs better error handling in place to handle a dirty signal which puts it in the realm of a bug. Maybe its going to be impossible to make work for all setups. Perhaps the inclusion of something like foveated streaming could help eventually :man_shrugging:.

I’ve so far had a decent experience with it, I didn’t experience many issues but I’ve not had time to give mine a thorough test yet admittedly, just used it for 30 minutes or so when i saw i had the firmware. I do have a Netgear Orbi BE11000 Tri-band Mesh on my desk 1m from me directly connected to my PC though, so my signal is likely much stronger and cleaner than most which is what leads me to think it’s primarily a signal issue for the bad experiences others have had. Time will tell. I’m hoping to have a long session with it this weekend, just bought the midnight walk. Maybe I’ll be back here reporting all the same problems as others next week.

I personally have incredibly good wifi 6e home network so I would hope the signal and communication would perform well. But I guess only time will tell if this project ever makes it to a mass roll out.

I checked the list, you should be getting a firmware update prompt.
Which Pimax Play version do you have installed?

Midnight Walk is a must! I started playing it last week.

Saw the trailer and it looked good. How is the gameplay?

Are high intensity games like Midnight walk whre you must turn around fast and do quick activities recommended when streaming on wifi as opposed to wired?

I am still stuck on 1.43.9 at this time. Even with the public test channel enabled i still have not been prompted to download the 2.0 update to try the new firmware update

Please wait for the next patch to roll out, or you can download this version instead:

This is an older patch that also allows access to the WiFi Air Link feature.

The game was fun.

I didn’t test it via WiFi Air Link, though; only over DP.

Hi, has there been any further update to the 60G Airlink’s progress

I’m currently gathering as much information as possible and will provide an update on this soon.
