I’ve had my awesome UW for a year now, and I’d really like to have access to all the headset’s features—specifically, the automatic IPD adjustment.
I hope this is a priority, because it’s a real pain…

I tried that and it produced catastrophic results and locked up half way through firmware upgrade then locked up PC with a DX module crash. I think my headset is cooked. I recommend you don’t offer that update anymore. Where can I get an older firmware?
EDIT: I fixed it. No idea what it was causing so many lockups but I retried after waiting for the Pimax app to give up and let me close it.
I’d recommend reverting to Pimax Play 1.44.2 if the 2.0 didn’t provide satisfactory experience.
I am also having problems with the IPD . Whether I adjust wearing or not it goes to 70.2mm I know i`m 67.5 Would it make much difference to the clarity?
Personally, I usually set the IPD around 1.5 mm higher than my actual measured IPD.
However, this can vary from person to person depending on individual facial features and visual comfort.
For your headset, does the IPD always remain at 70.2 mm?

Could you provide your headset’s serial number? We need it to retrieve the device ID, which is required before we can push the firmware update to your headset.

When you adjusted the IPD in Pimax Play, did you see the lenses move?

I setup my 5K XR again and I found the latest Pimax Play is missing the OLED darkness/black adjustment. Everything else seems to work well though.

This setting isn’t currently available in Pimax Play.
Let me check with our development team to see if it can be added in a future update.
If you want to configure the black level, may need to revert back to Pitool.
Actually I am positive it was in the v1.x branch. It must just be missing in 2.x. I just noticed on the download page that v1.x is still available so I will try that.

Yup the OLED black level is present in Pimax Play 1.44.2 so it is only missing from the new 2.0 client.
