CYBERSHOES on KICKSTARTER

I’m interested but I don’t have the money right now, and I can’t remember if kickstarter charged you inmediately, have you already been charged for this?

No, not until the kickstarter is over, luckily. I had no money either.

Great to hear, I’ll pledge now, it’s all your fault though, your video with them and skyrim was great to convince me they were actually good.

I think this kind of chair would be best suitable with those cybersneakers. Or similar, with small base and small but comfy the actual thing you sit on, not to restrict leg movements.
330€/~350$ though

When playing free movement games on my rift, I have to move my feet like I am walking (when sat) to avoid motion sickness. It works without the shoes but these look like a great idea, also will keep you fit.

Look on amazon for “Bar Stool”, loads on there that could be used and <$70

True, I was thinking about a bar stool first, but thought that there must be something better.
You can’t usually adjust the height of a bar stool.

And I imagine one could easily fall off of a bar stool, I know I do. :smirk:

i will use it for games like skyrim VR and Fallout VR and so on. i dont want to teleport in such a game … and you have to teleport yourself not important how big is your room its never as big as skyrim^^

of course you can (probably) buy it later, but you dont know yet how much the price will be later. i backed it because it is so cheap. even if i dont like it later i can sell it probably without or with just a small loss.

i sold my pimax pledge but not my kickstarter account or anything. so i have a lot of contact with the buyer and inform him about all news and so on. and i told him about the cybershoes. now we are sharing the package of 2

Yeah, they seem to group Salon stools with them too and those do spin. Personally I would prefer something like a “Tree Harness” so you can suspend yourself from a ceiling beam then you can’t fall off anything haha

No, that completely won’t work for onward. You need to be able to quickly peek around objects and dive back in to cover, which you can do stood up but not seated how you describe.

Single player games i can see it working, not anything remotely competetive

To be fair all of the treadmill type kickstarters I’ve seen would have the same issues with freedom of movement.

I was thinking in something similar, and making a little hole in the center of the carpet to insert the tube of the chair, or even making a base with some material and puting the carpet above it and hidding the base of the chair, then your feet will not be hitting the base all the time, something like this;

Even with a comfortable bike chair and some spinning bike shorts we could be almost standing up

i could imagine leaning and peeking and quickly stepping back working nicely. but we’ll see how it can work out for some and for others maybe not. ducking and picking things up will be implemented though and jumping too.

Nice, if the tube can be extended

I backed it. The price is right, and I like that they are able to pair movement with the actual directions of the shoes.

These sound interesting, but in this house we don’t wear shoes in carpeted areas. It doesn’t look like it’d be comfortable on bare feet. Maybe I should get some slippers?
