Don’t exceed 5 volts with most of these fans, they don’t do well.

@avengertj I found an extra USB cable of old phone charger so I just cut it but seem it contains 4 wires Black, White, Red, and Green, and Fan has 2 wires Red and Black…should I just need to connect those 2 wires to the fans Red and black? or Do I need another USB cable which has 2 wires? Attached is a photo below for reference
Also got this power bank below which is really tiny like credit card size and support 5V output as well

Do you think the cable of this product below can help to manage fan speed, Actually Long time back I bought a few tripods for my base stations and those come with these lights but I don’t use them so maybe I can just cut that light from cable and use that controller on it to manage fan speed…Do you think it’s a good idea?

Don’t cut the usb side,cut the other side!

Wow, amazing, it worked and perfectly managing the fan speed along with the turn on/off button. Now I think no need to wait for that imported cable. unnecessarily wasted $30 on that imported one which still has months to arrive, I wish I got this idea earlier.

All thanks to @Sidekick1 who got this thought of Fan mod and so this is becoming possible for all of us. He is such a great and helpful person, he even provided a 30mm file also on request.

But a good lesson learned this time, never to hurry in buying things because many things could be found inside our home and you can just use it. Those two Tripods which I bought for my Base stations provided me two things, A nice cable and now the phone holder which also I never used so I just modify it in a way so it can fit nicely on Pimax 8K X just like it is one of the provided part of 8K X and there I will place my tiny power bank once it will arrive tomorrow.

@avengertj @tadnyarahul Have both of you received your PU leather comfort kit face foam yet?
I purchased this PU leather face foam from immersive display. I haven’t really tested out yet, I briefly tried it and it’s okay.

My both order are still in transit, Btw. What is the thickness of this one PU leather face foam? I really want my eyes to get away from the lens as I feel more comfortable that way so I feel the thicker one will correctly suites me, Currently with this 8K X stock foam my eyelashes touch the lens and it really disturbs me.

@tadnyarahul According the Pimax listing it’s 15mm.
I completed a few races today and the face foam is pretty good. It’s currently winter here so I’ll see how it goes in the summer.
