Asseto Corsa Competizione in the 5K+ ~60FPS

Hi I have been Looking into Asseto Corsa Competizione for a while, often with no luck (used to run really bad).
I did give it a try now and it really has improved. I am able to mange About 60 FPS ±7. It doesnt look like a Dream, but it is playable now (imho for me).
So i though I post the Settings (@SweViver ) in case some one wants to give it a try or has better tipps.

Sorry the “through the lens” shots are not anything near @SweViver 's but I hope the most stuff is readable enough - if not I will try to type down the Setup.

Which leads to:

60fps is not bad indeed. Unfortunately, as soon as you up the resolution to 4K level, the game can hardly reach 40. Even without AA, which ACC needs either way, even on the 8KX. Optimisation is completely non existent in ACC, and its really not a beautiful game either so I dont know how they could have failed that much with the performance…

Thanks for sharing!
What would be the best, AC1 or AC2 ?

Well Competizione is like sweviver said still not very round but with the 5k+ playable (not beautiful)
I really like the feeling in it. AC is very performant stable and has lots of good moods - picknit up in a sale its cheap :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Most likely still some bottleneck in the game, before a few patches and settings in ACC I had like 35FPS and no chance to go higher. I hope they keep at it und update it further, Maybee then 4k will be OK to

I’m not agree with Martin. ACC is demanding but gfx and wheater system are beatifull and have best in class close to real life GT3 cars mechanics/phisics . Also ffb and telemetry devices works with ACC like a charm. Game development progressing very well and I’m full agree whit this mini review and recent steam opinions:

@MReis @SweViver

BTW : this is my settings with PT .249 for rtx 2080ti , game is trully sharp if your gfx\ptool setup is right :
( high steamvr ss, no AA in game and modified json line for distance shrapness)

Hey Cool! Thanks @Yata_PL.
I haven’t been into PC2 after a while of ACC - it’s just better at simulating IMHO and so more fun for me. I will look at your setup and hope it gets more beautiful.
You had a motion platform? Does it work in ACC?

yes , I have 3 dof montion platform ( added 3rd ax - traction loose recently)
works great thanks to simtool plugin Assetto Corsa Competizione Plugin

Thanks! Once I another Kidney has grown, I will see to spend it on a 3DOF Platform  - spend a bit on the new HMD’s.

Edit - Cool even the 6DOF Option - I have to dive into that matter some time ahead  - I also do FlightSim’s a bit so that would be interesting

for 3 dof you need to only sell very old car but 6 dof system with long travel range definitely a kidney

just type Pimax 5k in search

Edit : now its here

Other headsets also can try this json lines below which give you extra distance sharpness.

Try it - its almost as sharp as original AC ( a bit better than my PC2) Tryied full race Nurburging with 30 cars in rain - stable 45/90 frames. No AA is only the option to get full sharpness and some other modification in json.

Set PT 1.0 , normal FOV with smart smoothing on and FFR on ( conservative) or if dont have RTX just skip FFR
SteamVR SS -130 % ( or if you dont want or dont have FFR set 120%)
If you hot laping/single player only you can use steam vr @140~150 %

Copy lines below and replace in file : menuSettings.json ( documents/ ACC/Config
lines to replace are at the end of json file. ( backup first)

Thanks ! I tried it - the sharpening helps! did lose a few Frames but using 90/45 will work fine (instead of 120/60)

you can try add FXAA in game options if you like but sharpness will be slighty worse

BTW I tried my setup with 60/120 but recived “out of video memory” error - that weird for 11GB RTX card  Maybe this is PT version issue ? What is your PT and firmware ?

You might try lowering your PiTool Quality setting. Some games automatically use super-sampling, which uses more memory. I’ve personally had the issue with Hellblade and needed to have PT at 0.50 to run without crashing at startup.

I will check asap - just back from work but I do have pitool set to 1.0, normal FOV and steam to 120%

Edit:
PiTool 245
HMD 2.1.255.255
Hidden Area Mask is enabled, SS on FFR Conservative, ,Normal, RQ 1.0
