Looks good @MReis. Is there an ini file for the game that we could poke around in? I have GTA V running at 90hz on my 1060 3gb because of tweaks to the xml.
no, I have already figured out what cause that issue. I had too low system page file . My page file was set for 2000Mb , and I have doubled that amount and all is fine . Now I can play using 120/60hz and its stable
ACC have a lots of high quality textures - this heavy SS datas needs 32Gb of ddr ram or 16Gb ram with appropriate page file or better game optimization.
@Yata_PL postet the file and content above
There are multiple files - I just checked that one
AC1 is a truly fantastic SIM with great FFB and physics. I’m lucky enough to have frequently piloted a couple rear-engine Porsche classics in amateur motorsports for nearly 10 years now and I’m absolutely blown away by how close the nearest AC equivalents are (far better than any other SIM I’ve personally played and in-which I could also test those cars). It also runs very, very well in VR, at least for me. I haven’t jumped into ACC because as much as I want to support the devs, it’s got far to narrow a focus for me. I’m simply not interested in any of those cars at all, and not terribly interested in most of the tracks (I mostly drive classic and vintage and on tracks such as the green hell). I have a T500 wheel, pedal and shifter set.
One thing I’ve found is that I’m far more tolerant of low FPS in a seated racing title than I am otherwise. I run PCars2 (NOT a good SIM, but plenty of fun in other ways) at pretty high SS and it sometimes tanks clear down to like 40fps. Doesn’t bother me at all, even with brainwarp off. So you might be able to deal with the lower performance of ACC without too much issue. Worth a try anyway, if you don’t want to invest in an old title like AC.
AC1 can be had for £5 on Steam sales. Hard to complain at that price
Nice! Some years ago my best mate’s younger brother was doing the same in the UK, even managed to win a UK championship. But I’ll admit beyond Boxsters and 911s, I don’t really know my Porsches. Was definitely rear-engine, 944 perhaps?
Hey Cool!
I read about it bit did not know it’s already that close - time to start your engine’s!
but first spend some coins for dlc
looks sharp…
It’s not that bad anymore - there is still some issues with textures far off flickering - looks like LOD working differently per eye. I found shadows on mid works good - reduces the flickering of shadows a bit and does not kill performance to much - also below it loses the Unreal Engine benefits of lighting.
Hope they give VR some love again in the next patch.
I dont have munch problems with far object flickering or poping - recently i did something in game setup - dont remember what I changed.
Only aliasing and jaggies bothers me in 5k as I prefer playing without AA but that should be partialy eliminated in 8kx.
BTW in my rig right now steamvr 140% with 60/120 works well in multiplayers.
I think 1.3 brought a bit better CPU utilizations.
BTW I really love this game but why for god sake the safety points (SA) are subtracted when someone hits me in butt ?
No, 944 would be a front engine machine (trans in the back though, they handle very well). As far as true rear engine Porsche models you basically have the 356 and variants and the 911 and variants (including the 912/E in that). In my case 1980 911 SC and 1976 912E.
Keeping my fingers crossed for a true successor to AC. I expect ACC is excellent in the important ways, but just can’t get excited at all about the content. TBH nobody currently makes the racing SIM I want at this point, which would be deep career-mode plus car and track selection out of GT4, physics and FFB out of AC (plus overall graphical clarity), combined with weathers, seasons and day/night racing from something like PCars2.
Oops sorry, I was really tired when I wrote that. I meant rear wheel drive, not rear engined, my bad…
I guess we can all dream about our ultimate hybrid sims or games (unless willing to actually build it)…for me I’m still waiting for the ultimate FPS. I guess it would be persistent Space Arma, mixed with Halo, ED, and SC, with dynamic campaigns from old flight sims…all in VR without PP of course
