I have recently obtained an XTAL 8K and 5K. Like most here based on reading the threads, I have lots of issues with them mainly around optical comfort. Hoping to find there are still some XTAL owners about to chat to. I also have recently acquired a Pimax 8K, which I’m finding easier to get on with than the XTALs. I’m in the very fortunate position of having access to lots of headsets (you name it, I’ve probably used it), so am pretty experienced - happy to chat about all things XR.

@stixvr did try out a couple of Xtal models. But like the pimax WFoV headsets was not able to use them without strain.
I have the 8k, 8K + and the original Crystal. I only use the Crystal now. The Crystal does not have the same FOV as the 8’s which was disappointing but I’ve got used to it. I would love to go to the Super but current budget, including GPU, doesn’t allow. They are all a bit heavy but the optional headstrap goes a long way to solving the Crystal problem. I have no eye strain and the clarity is so much better than the 8’s.
