why not all? Why should I have to choose at this price point.
Excellent visual with Micro OLED is the first. Once I am used to the color and contrast it’s hard to switch to other LCD headsets.
FOV is second. Wider FOV should be the holy grail of VR.
An OLED based, 180 degree one is the dream headset for me.
In the perfect world I agree with you, but my comfort is not your comfort and your comfort. It’s not the next guys. I’d rather them give us what we can’t change to the best and then let us adjust the rest.
Well that’s definitely a no brainer I mean coming from my 8kx it’s definitely fov for absolute immersion it’s Fov all the way I mean the graphics are already where we want it to be and as much as I love my crystal super oled it doesn’t give me the total immersion I had with my 8kx the sense of really being there instead of looking throughout binoculars it just makes such a difference and I know the visuals on the crystal super are amazing but having that with a decent fov would be absolutely fenomenale
I second Djspyker’s comment. Please bring 8KX horizontal FOV levels to the Crystal Super. The Crystal Super’s horizontal FOV is too narrow and disappointing, especially for Sim Racing (and probably Flight sims too). We need larger 8KX-level of horizontal FOV for the Super Crystal. It would indeed be phenomenal.
Comfort is king
Technical specification doesn’t matter if uncomfortable
Can have the coolest sunglasses in the world but if they are uncomfortable you won’t regularly wear them
Personally, I have the Crystal Super, and comfort-wise, it’s not great…
I’ve owned an Oculus CV1 and an HP Reverb G2, and they fit my face perfectly.
So, I think comfort is really important, just like light leakage.
That said, when you buy a high-end VR headset like the Super, the helmet should be perfect.
All VR headsets require adjustment to ergonomics unless you are really lucky/average/target ergonomic group
Price isn’t relevant as it doesn’t determine ergonomic fit or range of adjustment (look how poor the Galaxy XR is)
My Super 50ppd is currently being modded and should soon be as comfortable as my Light, this rear harness mod decouples the main headset strap from the floating cradle and rear cushion
I agree with this. Also a simracing driver, and the 8KX Large FOV is unbeatable. I just need more clarity at the same FOV.
Since my first head set, the Oculus Rift CV1, i have always chased more FOV.. but i’m preferring the Dream air over my old 8Kx!!
and it’s due to comfort and image quality. so i will set it as a priority
it do not mean i will choose a very low FOV HMD, not at all. as FOV are still very very important.but if you can’t stand to wear the HMD all else are void!and if the visual quality are to low then the FOV do not matter.
I wouldn’t say that the 8kx has poor picture quality, there’s really nothing to complain about, I played Star Citizen and was completely satisfied, the ED was great too…and it was very wrong to cheat customers by refunding this money, definitely one reason why I won’t buy anything new from them.
I would not say poor either.. but the diffrence compared to Dream air is very large.. things in form of me just look more real. so over all i have an better exprince. then with the 8kx.
if i could get the same fov as 8kx with the qualaty as dream Air.. i would prefer this..
but it are not currently technical posible 
And if it were we do not yet have the GPU power for an decent exprience (and if we had i do not want to know what it will cost wit the prices of today)
Once you’ve seen those amazing visuals in the Dream Air NOTHING else matters. All the other issues are totally forgotten and you just want to sort them yourself.
That is my real experience having had my Dream Air SLAM since last Thursday evening.
I’m coming from an exceptionally sharp and very well set up Crystal Light! I didn’t think the DA would be much better than my trusty PCL, I was wrong! It completely blows it away!!
