I’d really like to know how Elite performs, but I know that’s not going to happen.
They’re going to demo Fruit Ninja or equivalent which isn’t going to indicate how high end or PP games perform

I think we’ll be lucky to get anything as complex as DCS up and running at an event like this, but hey fingers crossed

Its not a hard task to find out how it performs. Supersample steamvr to 4k per eye and run the game with your 5k or 8k = done.

Yes true. Although that means it’s not going to work natively 
Performance is already low on a 2080 Ti before getting anywhere near that. Which is largely down to PP as far as I understand it, the game’s Cobra engine is pretty efficient.
I just hope that lowering the res to an acceptable performance level really looks decently better than a 5k+ as claimed, otherwise there’s actually little point in upgrading without a 3080 or 4080 Ti to go with it.
Anyway, look forward to people’s verdicts at the event

Just wanted to buy a ticket for 54,- and now the price has risen to 80,-. That’s too much for going to see the 8KX and I don’t care about the rest of the VR days

When I wake up in 10hrs I expect a Livestream/VODs. A detailed first impression and someone trying to read the worlds smallest text on the 8KX and Pizza.

What I understand from Martin posts is that the team will start new HMDs demos today and it will continue tomorrow. Hope we’ll hear something later today.

Exactly 2 hours ago it was me 
In short - the technical and product side is better than I expected, the business side is worse. A hard decision for me as a 5k owner what to do.
