Nope, they are still too expensive for my liking, and having to sacrifice all of the stretch goals pretty much negated any discount. Besides, I have my 5K+ (no cracks, no errors, no problems at all thankfully) and I don’t think the cost of an 8K+ is justifiable for the limited increase in visual clarity.

This basically sums it up for me as well. I’m just going to buy the mas with the comfort kit.

I find the optics exactly the same on the 8k+ as the 8k. same ipd, offsetsettings and distortion. I don’t have eyestrain in general but it feels the same way to my eyes.

Chances are there will be a number of stretch goal MASes available soon
I am sticking to my perfectly working 5K+. I seems a lot of money for a small gain in clarity.
Yes I see the SDE but I am not bothered by it that much compared to the Vive where I hated it.
The reports from 8K+ users don’t actually sway my opinion at all. 8K X or nothing but I play not enough to justify the investment.

Still have a question to support and the answer is hanging in the wind somewhere.
Might still upgrade, but haven’t decided. It’s not easy… none of the options or prices satisfy me
Todays buffet:
- Stay and hope that the stretchgoals make the 8K usable for me (will still have to buy a comfort kit)
- Wait, get the stretchgoals, Swords+LHs, then sell (but when is that?)
- Upgrade, opt out and sell the 8K, keep the 8KX. (No more waiting for things that may never come)
- Upgrade, opt out and sell everything (at a loss) (Freedom!)
- Upgrade, keep strechgoals+Swords+LHs (more waiting), Sell 8K
