Also flashed .181 and no issues so far but question is why they don’t give us any change log ?
than we cant talk about positive changes plus we do not know what they are working on…

I heard large mode lowers the resolution a bit no? Or is that only for the 8k

@twack3r yes, as simple as that :slight_smile: it will automatically restart the hmd right after and show u the new firmware number installed.

I ask myself the question, why are not they published in a beta channel?
Did Pimax publish them officially?
it would be convenient to have a beta channel in Pitools, with the Change Log!
I am wary.

I agree, I would be careful with unofficial versions. Often if one introduce new functionality in software one can break other features. That’s totally fine, because is only interested in testing the new code. So if there is no statement from Pimax one should be careful.

In space pirate trainer my 5k+ would shut off itself and blackout, few min into game. Also certain part of skyrim it would do the same. And I could recreate this consistently.

I’m not absolutely sure it’s the firmware, but flashing the new one I didn’t get the blackout shutdown at those parts of the game it usually happens.

It is a 100% the firmware that fixed it. FOr me i was having disconnection every time after a few minutes until i updated to the 176 firmware.

I was on the 168 firmware before.
