With your method Pimax could manipulate the results

But … I do not see anyone from Pimax saying
“This is a great idea to ask backers what they think of M2 with a Survey”

Indeed, software is the only thing at this point that is still negotiable.
The choice is still quite clear. Below 3 not okay. 3 okay, 4 better 5 best. 1 being the worst.
A user said wanted more options then strictly black or white. A small scale works well.

Great / Acceptable / Needed Improvement
Sometimes it it not great such as fov or brightness when we compare to other headset, but it still be acceptable and if many people choose acceptable that mean it is no problem although it is not great in your opinion. If I compare fov to starvr, may I choose “acceptable” while other one choose “great” because they have different experiences and they have first impression.
But some feature which be needed improvment that mean it is still be critical issues such as distortion. We want to decrease the issue and focus on some specific issues.
If pimax have more time, they still can be improve the Acceptable feature to be better.
Some question don’t have to be same choice, such as “eye strain” , you can choose yes / no only.
