I have nothing to add to that… Its a sad, sad way of doing business and having total disrespect towards people.I really am considering to cancel all that is left for me to recieve, take the loss of money (again!) And burn that headset and my whole account here. I should have done earlier,when i also knew it wasn’t going to end in a happy way. I still kept faith because of the community and wanted to believe, especially with the updates Pimax was back at giving. But now… I think i am really, really done.
A smart company knows how to care for his customers, because they are the sole reason a company excists. This way, and they have learned zero on this point, they will not be here for long.

they came up with a new excuse and lie, to try to not give me the 150$
and only wanted to give me 60$…
(excuse was support was over a week late at refunding my 8KX, they wanted to use that as an excuse).
then, wanted to try to force even more money out of a pre order i had placed on nov 2019, and i had paid full priced of for the KDMAS.
I’m not only sorry for myself, but everyone else who are treated this way, and over such a crazy long timespan. I lost my trust in Kickstarter also forever. Will never believe a startup. And that’s a shame, because they are maybe not all the same.

Same situation here, tracking number received at the very last moment but still absolutely no real shipment picked (just checked that again).
Although you also have made me check the dates:
my tracking number was created on 31/10/2020
but Pimax mail with tracking number was sent on 01/11/2020
So technically, I haven’t received my tracking number before 31th and therefore should be eligible to a refund (if I wanted to). Unless Pimax argue I haven’t confirmed before 16th despite the deadline had always been 31th until 14th when they silently changed this deadline…
Nobody should be naive here, it sounds obvious Pimax had already in mind at the time of making this announcement that it would suffice to create a tracking number before 31th to not have to pay a single refund.
Pimax most likely knew from the begining they will not refund anybody, that was just a completely free strategy to make people think “Oh, if Pimax propose this refund then they must be very confident they can ship the packages at the date they say ! So there is no reason to worry or moan on their forum”.
So let see now how long it will take before shipments begins “for real”, and at what pace. My guess is real shipments may not begin that soon… (especially since Pimax is now currently caught into the unbelievable 8KX customs mess they have created…)
I wonder how @sweviver feels now knowing that thats the company he’s working for, I like to think he got set up with this one as much as anyone else, but maybe he’s too far down the pimax rabbit hole to care about the backers anymore
Just an FYI my Backer box refund is now pending. I don’t have any tracking number for any box. I am waiting though for Basestations to be shipped. The good news is the support are more upfront on the deductions now.
Still waiting. Apparently my case is different to the other backer box refunds so I am having to wait even longer with no ETA. The only thing different I’ve asked is to change the refund to Paypal instead of my CC original payment method. Not sure why this creates a headache for the Pimax financial team? My BS are coming by China Post which will take a month to arrive, I was offered the option to use quicker FedEx for a $30 fee.
they only offered me the choice of Paypal, so that sounds like a nonsense excuse, I didn’t pay by paypal and they had to ask me for my paypal address, so…
Then my case must be “special” for other reasons. Perhaps because I swapped all goals for the 8KX discount and now I refunded the 8KX they needed to reinstate the goals again to my account.
Pimax accounts, still messing around weeks later with this case. My case is special and needs the boss to sign for $150 refund (such a small amount), but the boss is away on a business trip and can’t sign the documents at the moment so I have to wait even longer. Hopefully this week when the boss returns to the office.
They have already been upfront about the fees to me. Whether I agree with the fees is another matter.
FYI: Because the refund is for backers from Kickstarter, half of the service fee, 4% of the refund, will be charged by Kickstarter and the other 4% will be paid by Pimax.
I got the same response when requesting the controller refund from my pledge. Apparently Kickstarter takes as much as 8% of collected funds (https://www.kickstarter.com/help/fees?ref=faq-basics_fees) and Pimax is saying that we share it equally.
Which is probably something I could accept, but then they could as well just announce it right away in Pimax events and not claim they will refund 150 USD when it is clearly never going to happen. It is just another example of Pimax way of working.
Same here, 25 days ago they said they would “send me the $150 via PayPal ASAP”, then yesterday I get a message saying they want me to accept coupons… Erm, like what now!?
