The LED on my left Sword controller briefly lights up in blue, and then starts blinking red when I turn it on. It doesn’t show up in PiTool or SteamVR, but it does connect when I try the ‘pairing’ function. But as soon as pairing is complete, it starts blinking red again.
I thought the battery might be dead, but when I put the battery in the right controller, it works fine.
I tried turning the controller on while charging it via USB, but it still blinks red.
I also tried the reset procedure mentioned in the below link, but it doesn’t help.
Then again, this reset procedure doesn’t seem to work on the right controller either, so I’m not sure if this is the correct method for resetting the controller.
Does anyone have any suggestions about anything else that I can try?
Thank you for the reply, I tried to plug it in via USB, it doesn’t connect. Lights up in blue for a second or two, and then turns solid red. The other controller connects OK via USB.
It seems that the controller is malfunctioning. Could you please file a support ticket and report the issue to our tech support team? They will assist you further.
