Is it possible to purchase an extra DP/USB to Dream Air link box? I want to travel with my Dream Air and gaming laptop but would prefer not to have to disconnect and pull cables from my main rig.

I did. The answer, for the record, is no. You cannot purchase just the breakout box alone. You have to buy a replacement 2D head strap assembly with the side arms and integrated cable which includes the link box. The cost is $199 USD.
