Hello friends, Yesterday everything was working well but today suddenly colors on my 8KX are not looking good, too much contract and I can’t even see that little circle point on those sliders in settings of Pitool. I tried every possible combination of contrast and brightness but no effect. Btw I am on that M298 Engineer Test and Nvidia driver ver. 30.0.14.7141 ( RTX 3080 ). Any suggestions on what is wrong? Thanks

Have you tried clean gpu driver install or re-installing Pitool?

I would try what Dogbite Suggests… Reflashing the firmware may help as well.
Check to ensure cable is fully connected on hmd side as may have loosened a bit even if feels tight.
Yes just did that, was on 271 and now just installed Pitool Ver 270 and did clean installation of Nvidia drivers too but still the same
Can you please share the stable firmware and Pitool download link which have no issues with 8KX
Okay I understand why it’s happened, It’s an HDR feature of windows, I just turn it off and everything in Pimax 8KX gets very crisp and clear, shocking very much clearer than before but as I remember this HDR was on for a long time but now all of a sudden the 8KX not liking it much.

That setting is turned on and points to my projector so it seems to be a monitor setting. Not sure why it would affect a headset unless it’s an 8Kx thing but it doesn’t affect my 5K+
I had the color issues you describes some time ago. Had to re-seat my gpu.
One thing about pc issues is multiple causes can appear as the same outcome. Glad you seem to have yours tracked .
