Discourse is imho so much better than reddit. The imho most annoying thing in reddit is that you cannot sort by “latest” in a way that a topic with a new reply jumps to the top. “Hot” is imho worthless in reddit because most people don’t use the up/downvote buttons for relevance but as Facebook style like/dislike. And while sometimes interesting to know, popularity isn’t always the best criterium for relevance.

Absolutely unacceptable. I’ve never heard of an official forum like this going down for such a lengthy period of time. The worst of it is there was absolutely no communication from Pimax unless you happened to be on reddit and were able to coax something out of them…

The current Dark themes are not working and I had to disable them. However looking into importing a new Dark theme. I prefer the dark theme as well.

The OpenMR team will be installing a new Dark Theme soon.

I am guessing you missed the KS updates detailing the site went down and was being worked on.
So far all issues seem to be resolved with the exception of needing to redo the Dark theme.

To be honest, I got used to the reddit sub and it feels weird coming back to this forum after such a long hiatus. Will the forum be as active as before? Lets hope everyone comes back.

Okay all I was able to track down what had broke the Dark Themes and the original Light Theme.
I have disabled the theme component causing the glitch.
@TrevorVR suggested importing a new Dark Theme called Vincent. There are 2 Dark Themes available now. Og Dark and Vincent Dark. You can also select theme via Dropdown menu.
Poke me and will make a proper update in bulletins soon.
Let’s also thank @endless.Lin’s hard work in getting the forum fixed up.

As long as no dark theme is available, I can recommend DarkReader, which allows to override the design/rendering settings for any site. (Usually I personally prefer black on white but when reading websites on an OLED, using at least white on black is less harmful)
