I pre-ordered November 1 but I contacted Pimax recently and told them to wait with my package until the DAS is ready so they send everything in one sweet package. (psst… I pre-ordered the G2 too so we’ll see what arrives first. teehee…)
I can’t sleep and I’m bored so I only got in here to tell you that… AND (from reading the last posts) to be nice and show respect to each other.
I asked @PimaxQuorra before but got no answer. Maybe you can explain why they still haven’t shipped out pre-orders from october? Like mine s04625 and @JoCool s04626. Are you guys following any plan at at all or is it really just random?
Part of it depends on the shipping destination and customs requirements (among other things like if the address can be verified, Fedex isn’t accepting all the addresses as entered). There were some errors that affected the order date for around 30 orders but I was told almost all of those are fixed.
It isn’t random but a number of factors can potentially affect the departure date.
I’ll bring it up at the morning meeting (night meeting China time).

I had contacted both Miracle (who didn’t include me into his list) and the EU CS phone number of Pimax, who said they’d put me into the “quick access lane”. But it’s been one and a half weeks now - and it hasn’t changed. People with later orders to the extend of 230 orders behind us have already received theirs in Germany
Can relate on the woes of shipping to international addresses and certain formats not being readily accepted by courier companies. I was using UPS for the most part until I had an issue with an address in Croatia that Google maps had verified but the courier could not. Ended up havign to switch to DPD.
As for the “Shipment information sent” message, this is the default state after shipping has been paid for and is due for collection by courier. Assuming it is the same in China as it is in Europe they will collect directly from Pimax, usually they take 3-4 days to schedule a collection. Wait times went up during quarantine somewhat.
I’m involved with Pimax as an extension of Kickstarter’s Bakker, so I’m perfectly fine with the delay as long as the time it takes leads to a good product.
However, the hidden facts (USB2 issue. Unavailable eye tracking), personal agendas (I’m sure. Trust me, etc.), personal agendas (I’m sure…), and communication breakdowns that result in inaccurate information.
Pimax needs a concept of public relations and compliance in the dissemination of information. For example, account standing is also an issue. A Miracle or PimaxUSA account is not an individual to a customer. You are perceived as Pimax. Any personal thoughts that come in will make the information inaccurate. It is important to be clear on where you stand.
Most disputes are caused by not understanding each other well enough. And in this forum, it is mostly Pimax that is the source of the information. There is no point in “Let’s go in peace”. We need verified and unaddressed information.
I respect and support Pimax for running such a forum and being so supportive of their customers.
How about honoring the promise you made at the Pimax Now event and give priority to the backer upgrades? That promise was the only reason I gave any more money to your company, and now I am sitting here like an idiot again. Will not hesitate to contact my credit card company if I do not have a tracking number by the end of this month like you now seem to be promising.
Hope your confidence extends to the upgrade-orders as well
It just sometimes feels like Pimax has stopped distinguishing between pre-orders and upgrade-backers. Or worse, completely forgot about the upgrades.
I sincerely hope that this is not the case, and upgrade orders should be shipped even faster than before the end of the month (literally now).
You have repeatedly confirmed the shipping queue: original backers X, backers upgraders X, pre-orders X.
And for some reason this did not happen. Or am I wrong somewhere? Correct me, in that case.
I am not against pre-customers in any way, and I also wish them to get their 8KX as soon as possible.
But based on the announced shipping queue, I was in a very rush to order the 8KX as soon as possible to get it among the first (after the original X backers, of course). As a result, I do not understand why I was in such a hurry, if even earlier orders-upgrades from October (mine from November 6) have not been sent yet.
@PimaxQuorra said that late August, early September would be the approximate shipping date.
By the way, exactly half a month has passed since August 26.
And now it is almost mid-September, and the earlier upgraders, which issued in October, have not been shipped yet.
Can you explain all this?
After all, these are not isolated erroneous delays, and there are quite a few of them.
We all need a clear understanding of the current shipping situation.
Please clarify this issue already.
100% agree. This is total BS. Only reason I rushed to order was because of the promise that the upgraders would get priority, if not I could just have waited for the 8Kx to be in stock as I would have been very far back in the line anyway.
I actually figured something like this could happen so I made sure to go back and forth with support having them confirm my place in line several times just to cover my back if there were any problems. As I feared they went back on their promise, but my correspondence with support should at least help me greatly in a dispute with my credit card company which looks likely to come soon if they do not get their stuff together.
Final confirmation I got from support leaves no doubt:

Pre-Order 4669 here (ordered on 10/31/2019)! So far absolutely no update from Pimax. When looking into my account, I can see my order and the confirmation that my payment has been successfully processed…some things always work - even for Pimax!
September 2020 here, still waiting for my very expensive head set & deluxe package. Concerned with quality after reading all the problems with shipping, metal hindge, foam headset pads being inadvertently left out and length of production. Never heard of a company producing such expensive product having simple problems like this.
In all fairness with the production length, i do appreciate the added checks… Nonetheless the concern is there. I want to give PiMax a good review and have awesome play time like I do on my Rift S
I was referring to anyone who ordered before Aug 1 2020. Upgrades are arranged before pre-orders so any instances where a pre-order arrives prior to an upgrade shouldn’t be related to the order they are processed or the order in line.
Less than three more weeks until the end of September! I am an upgrader and have not received any information until today.
Actually it was a joke to say my Reverb G2 will come faster. But gradually the joke seems to be turning into bitter truth!
