If they would just be honest and tell us we over estimated how many headsets we could deliver in July and we only delivered 100. I think most of us would at least appreciate that instead of them going into stealth mode.

After years and it is the same old thing from them … delays + complete silence. Never changed.
Next they will be super confident with new dates and they will be aggressive to anyone complaining about paying money long time ago and not receiving their 8KX yet.
First thing though is they will call us conspiracy theorists.
… Oh, and how hard is it to actually notify people that they shipped the thing to them so it doesn’t just show up unannounced. And make sure all the boxes have everything that should be in them put in. OK! Sorry! I forgot Pimax is still a small startup company so can’t handle these things yet.
Anyways thank you Pimax for creating the 8KX … I am grateful.

Sure, we can do that. But it‘s just one week, so I do not see how they could produce say 650 of the 800 during that period of time and ship them too. So the underlying issue obviously is already at work.
And they had omitted the all-important 8KX delivery status update in the weekly update, and when challenged, responded by saying they are preparing it to be sent soon. And so far we have seen - nothing.
This is why I chose to address it today rather than wait for 1 August (at which date most of us original backers had expected to hold it in our hands rather than take to the forum to inquire where the 800 units went).

You must be a pre-orderer - as an original backer, you better take the delivery (assuming it happens within the next 6-12 months) and sell it off on ebay immediately, there will be a market of VR nerds, and the 8KX seems to remain elusive for the coming months, if their pace so far is to be taken as a measuring stick…
Don’t You think their time is better spent on actually producing and delivering the products?
We need all efforts put into production, delivery and support.
The rest is just “for shows” and I, for one, can live without that as long as I get an update here and there…

P.S. Why not just do it if You’d rather own the G2? Do You have to do with others? Is it a torch and pitchfork thing? You do realize that the more people ordering the G2, the longer down the line Your order will be, right?

Tbh we simply don’t know what is what as they have been vague. (This unfortunately is quite a normal practise talking to my GF whom is Canadian Chinese and her Parents being Chinese Canadian) - they are fortunate though she is not a backer. 
With recent identified missing items in the packages it is possible they have possibly met the 383 Backer units produced but have needed to delay shipment to verify contents.
To me it is silly not to release this info as it would mostly eliminate speculations by publishing facts of what is.

That might be what ends up happening for a lot of people if the 8KX turns out to be as good as they say it is… 
“Yeah, I know I’ve been trash-talking Pimax for Years but I didn’t think they would actually pull through”… 
P.S. I fully understand the frustration of a lot of the backers as it’s surely been a rollercoaster ride, blind folded… 
But… We’re (both backers and “followers”) almost there!
