You need to get real. Starts with an inch & leads to a mile.
To maintain credability in business you are measured by the public(consumers). Consistantly fail on your commitments & the public can & often will turn against you.
Priority 1 is backers by pimax’s words. Priority has to be pre-orders before stocking retail distribution sales.
Why? Why would you pre-order a product direct from a company? When you can get it faster simply by going to a shop & buying it.
Your making yourself now look foolish.
A store stocking a product order through tge kickstarter would be clearly acceptable. If a company stocks a store outside of kickstarter & pre Order commitments. Then if it’s not a well established company; can critically damage that company’s well being & future.
Do you think anyone is likely to back Sisense if they kickstart a project in future again? After keeping Kickstarter backers & pre Orders on a rope for 4 years; even though they refunded everyone? I would hope your not that naive.
Another explanation would be Pimax ran out of money and so now they need fresh money to continue business, they probably used all the KS money, launched the pre-order to cash in,but wasn’t enough so they sell OUR backers produced headsets to korean and japanese stores in order to cash in more money to be able to continue their business
First of all, this 300 units was again a speculation of park, without any source and prove. If he is conserned about his reputation he should better back up his claims in the first place. So, stop crying about a speculated delay of 2, 3 days and get real.
It is easy to fall back to moral standpoints but reality is different. Here it was claimed , that 300 units were given to a shop. That’s on the scale of a typical promotion. Pimax has clearly communicated their delivery schedule for backers. I really doubt that a production of 3 days would harm the schedule.
As i said above every headset sold before my Unit arrives is 1 sold to many and as Helio told you after the backers there are pre-orders waiting. They basically slapped the backers and those who pre-ordered in the face with this action.
And park is right if he is concerned about his reputation he trusted in Pimax and they have failed him.
Btw. not long ago i was thinking about investing more in Pimax but that ship has now sailed as they don’t even care to respond to this fuck up and they had ample time for some sort of statement.
I will not continue to feed your balant stupidity on business. Simply put a pre-order is a promotion to sell a product or software. The Pre-order customer gets their item before it is openly sold on Market.
If a company after holding a Pre-Order Promotion trumps it by selling on shelves before Pre-Orders have received their item(s) by trumping the pre-order with a pre on the shelf sale.
Then very few next to none will buy a pre-order from said company.
You might want to take a business & marketing course or 2.
Happy Customers = sales. While it’s mixed thoughts on how pimax is doing.
I for one have genuinely been content on how they have been doing; especially after it haa been revealed less than a 100 employees. However a pre sale a head of both Backers & Pre Orders will not help pimax move forward with public trust. Something drastically needed with how big this company is atm.
If this was Samsung, FB, HTC they could afford a few negative actions. But a company in this early stage of development can cause it irreputable harm. This is a simple fact.
But I will not feed what one could call similar to acting like a Heaney alternative. Pimax deserves better & can do better in clarifying what is going on. They need honesty not blind devotion; I hope you can understand that.
