A good start would be to be honest and not coming back with something no one believes anyway.
Edit: ohh and welcome back
Thank you, and we will solve these issues that should have been solved as soon as possible. Please continue to trust and support us. Thank you very much.
Welcome back Matthew, hope you got some good rest and you are keeping well.
As "unofficial as this poll is, PIMAX should take note as it is a good indicator of how the majority of backers feel.
“our Lovely backers come first”…too funny Pimax.
Thank you, I am fine and my body has recovered. I can continue to serve you in the community.
Nice to have you back Matthew, I think we backers can trust you and you can solve and explain the problems truthfully
I’m honored to hear you. Thank you very much.
Honestly, I know this is probably tough because this is probably business decisions made long before and an explanation trying to placate people probably won’t help and make things worse even if that’s what the Higher ups want.
It’s only better to just apologize at this point and be a little more truthful, this is more advice to the upper management.
In the Sep 2017 edition of the popular Australian PC gaming mag PC Powerplay was an ad for a computer retailer selling “8K PC VR” with no Pimax branding apart from the subtle “Piplay” mention. Being familiar, not to mention super excited, with the Pimax Kickstarter, I phoned said retailer and asked whether the product was available now. The response was “no” but they were taking pre-orders and it should ship in Jan 2018. I asked whether it was a Pimax unit and got an affirmative.
September 2017!
The 8K image seems to be an early prototype but strangely, the unit is still available for sale on the retailer’s website: Laptop Computers | Notebook Computers | Tablet Computers - Pioneer Computers - Products - Virtual Reality HMD - PC VR HMD - 8K PC VR HMD
Pioneer Computers appears to have more patience and faith that a wide release is imminent than many forum members
O man not another one…
Yes, but he though the SDE Is still far too much, cuz he actually did not realize that his “movies” are pixelated.
@park did your forum member get his order? Can we get feedback on what the real differences are between the BE and consumer version (if he has one to compare)?
I will leave a comment after confirming.
It’s the product with the latest firmware and there is no difference from consumer version.
Also not different text on the hmd, like Pimax said?
So the person you know has received his Pimax after ordering online?
At this point the topic header should state 8k BE, 5k+ BE and 5K BE
