PIMAX Super OLED and Ultrawide Focal Distance?

I have just upgraded my Ultrawide order to Golden Bundle - having originally place my order for a 50PPD unit in March. I am patiently waiting.

Anyways, my eyes are 58 years old so need glasses to see close up. I have some VR Lenses and such but want to be able to fine tune my next order for the new units.

What is the focal distance of the OLED and ULTRAWIDE modules? No point in having such clarity if I can’t focus perfectly.

Thank you PIMAX for your help.

Andrew.

@PimaxQuorra @andrewbutler Great question for sure, I am looking to verify some info I found re this. In a Pimax video from a month or so back a guy named Evie or Eevie said the Focal Distance for Micro Oled Super & Air was 1.3M.

However, elsewhere on Reddit people have said that all Pimax headsets are 1.0M. And I also read that the distance had been changed after some user feedback. So it would be good to have verification of the focal distance for measurement at the optometrist for correct lens prescription.

My son has blurry vision in VR (Quest 1-3) because of the typical distance is right where he needs glasses. I had him look through the lens and he was able to clearly see the image, not even needing to adjust IPD. I think it may be at a different focus for sure. I am very interested in this for both the 50ppd and the mOLED.

Other Pimax headsets use a 1.0 m focal distance, while the micro-OLED and Dream models use a 1.3 m focal distance.

I just found a Pimax video I remembered seeing some time ago where Eevee gives this information.

It is at the 2:37 minute mark.
