Good question. My understanding is that you will need to add the shipping cost + local taxes (VAT). That’s why I think that 699$ is quite expensive (it will be different if this was the price to be payed locally, with all taxes included, local waranty/support, no shipping, …)
I’m over in the UK, so if I were to order it… do I choose US or EUR? I mean I could save a whole £5 going with US price lol

8 hours to create a secure, safe international e-commerce website with cart? Even by a dedicated web company with drop in scripts would be forcing them to rush it without any testing. This does not bode well.
they use a very insecure mode of loading javascript libraries, so modern browsers prevent them from loading
with Internet Explorer do they mean Internet Explorer 7?
Site going live on pre-order day is nuts. Never seen that happen before. The main site should have been up and running a year ago to answer questions. Then the countdown page can be added on the day. I’m going to China to help them out 
A bit late now though haha. Cross your fingers and toes when that timer actually starts counting! I hope to God, there wont be reddit/twitter posts all about people’s cards getting wrecked. Seriously I’m not a paranoid person, but only the smart people would at least question this. Would be nice for communication from Pimax. I know they’re working hard, but damn they’ve made a load of money from backers already, plus pre orders will just dwarf what they have now. There’s a whole list of things where it could have been done better.
oh wow. Pimax shop just updated. Not only are they selling the VR HMD’s but also a bundle with the RTX graphics cards?? That works out to $959 for a RTX 2080 or $1568 for the RTX 2080 TI. I beleive that works out to same price as retail shops for RTX cards.
Basically we provide one-year warranty period, and more detail we will release later.

I had understanding for Pimax with less than optimal communication, but this is most terrible organized event of product Iaunch I have ever seen.
If Pimax didn’t have best product on the market, no-one would ever being troubled to even try to go through this preorder. Website being developed on live server 6 hours before preorder is something really extraordinary.
Not being able to even fill in the shipping address is just lame. Most of the form fields doesn’t even have labels (at least add placeholder text for inputs in HTML), so you have to look in web developer tools to find what field is what.
And most importantly it’s validating State field as required even when filled in, so it’s not possible to complete the form.
@Sean.Huang @Pimax-Support If you are on the edge of starvation and in desperate need for lunch money for tomorrow, I can understand this rushed action to try to keep alive. Beyond that, I cannot think of any other explanation…
You have an incredible product, but you’re just destroying your reputation with event like this. I think you should cancel it and try again, but that will also damage it, as the information is out already… I cannot see how you could come out of this situation as winners 
I know you mean good and you are trying your best, but this is just terrible. If you manage to fix everything in next 6 hours, then it would be miracle.
Anyway handling the workload of thousands of people trying to preorder at the same time is just not possible on website put together in one week and running possibly on some cheap hosting…
I wanted to preorder the second it’s available, but this has really took away all my faith and I had lots to start with. At least other means of payment are possible, because putting the credit card details through your site would be total madness.
I still have to decide if I want to try to preorder even if you fix the registration process and it would be actually possible to do it.
There’s also no bundle with headset + base stations. I would prefer that to buying the base station + controllers together https://www.pimaxvr.com/en/product/pimax-base-station-wireless-controllers/
Good luck to you Pimax and I don’t mean sarcastically, hopefully you can get away with this amateurish behaviour little bit longer, but I think if you want to be around long term, you cannot afford to represent yourself like this, especially with maybe most important event of this product life cycle so far - open preorder for the public.
Has the NDA been lifted on the OLED so you can share your thoughts on it with the rest of us before pre-orders go live?

Sebastian doesn’t live by NDA’s, he releases details when he wishes haha! I’m joking about his accidental leak on his YT premier announcement, which he took it down quickly. As always somebody is quick with the screenshot button 
OLED sounds great for blacks and brightness, but it depends on any ghosting and the pixel structure, which is rumoured to be pentile (not so great).
Yeah 502 bad gateway, but it came back up after a few refreshes. You can understand the site is still being updated. Cutting it close to launch though! Oh by the way, that 5K+ in your basket, that was mine. I took it out again lol.
Everyone keeps saying this as if they forget that every OLED HMD so far it Pentile besides the PSVR. Yes the SDE might suffer to some degree, but it has a ton of advantages too.
