Pimax, it's time to ship ALL remaining backers base stations

I have Received 1 of 4 Lighthouses(on tuesday). But this is due to Fedex using Same Day to deliver. Fedex was contacted. In theory should receive maybe today.

Same Day is also delivering for UPS in my area and unrelated but split my Home Depot Order it seems.

There were plenty of policy changes. Months went by with them saying there will be no direct RMA->upgrade despite many requests.

Then when I am asking when my replacement will be sent as I know the RMA unit has been delivered, suddenly it was ok to RMA to an upgrade for another $400.
Guaranteed everything was in stock ready to be sent, yeah, not falling for that one.

Same here. Past few days they don’t even answer to PM.

Still No tracking info for me and no base station. I keep being told it will be shipped “next week” since March when i first raised the ticket. I have since raised a thread on here but it was changed to personal message. Backer # 4385. Put a ticket in on 06-06-2020 (#2960) to get info on whether the base stations were being/ have been shipped or not and if there was an email for the tracking number (which I never got). When someone responded 10 days later, they said this:

"Thanks for contacting us and sorry for keeping you waiting. It is just as what you said. Besides, I have checked your order status. Owing to aims at providing customers with more quality and comprehensive services, a systematic methodology for that approach is required. We could extraordinary understand your emotion.

*Sorry for causing you trouble. Have a great day! *
Please feel free to let us know if you have any further questions."

Google Translate aside, this basically gives me NO information on the whereabouts of the products in question. I’ve also tried looking up my order on both the old and new store logins, which came up empty as well. So I’ve added my info to the spreadsheet. I don’t mind waiting (3 years and counting) if there’s a problem, but the lack of info and transparency is irritating to say the least…

I got my base stations about a month ago… I emailed them almost weekly for about a year asking about them. Many lies were told to me. Eventually they said I could pay for express shipping for $45. After I did it was another THREE weeks before they shipped and it required daily harassment of every support channel I could find for pimax and on the forums. Every day. Eventually they sent them to get me to shut up.
They require you to harass them if you want anything to get done. Or else they wont dot anything. Lesson learned. Its how you get results with Pimax.

Index Controllers & Basestations:

Ordered Plan F: 5/31/2020

Shipping Info Received: 6-17-2020

Delivered: 6-19-2020

The Basestations took the v1.0’s place, same wall mount/tripod/power adapter.

The 8K had no issues detecting the basestations & the basestations did not require a station change.

The Index Controllers work without issue, made sure to test the thumbsticks click in all directions, no problems.

SteamVR had an update for the Index Controllers & the update went smoothly, simply used my phone’s USB-C Cable.

My base stations arrived yesterday, so thanks again @PimaxQuorra for all your support and thanks to @neelrocker for this thread.
I have updated the spreadsheet, so now I just need time to test the base stations :frowning:

Unfortunately, that is the best chance you have - and I suppose paying extra for shipping did not hurt the chances either. Exactly the kind of customer experience one is looking for, isn’t it.

Nothing here. No tracking number, no response to the ticket, etc…

@PimaxQuorra -> It is nice many cases have been solved but could you check with the logistic team again what is going on with the remaining people listed here ? After all this time it is weird some people still don’t even have their tracking number :neutral_face: @loska for example has been asking for help for quite some time now (and he is not the only one still waiting apparently).

As i understand, there is no kickstarter backers who got their basestations from Pimax?

There are many whom have received the Lighthouses. You need to file a ticket to request Lighthouses ahead of pimax controllers. @neelrocker has created a spreadsheet to help track these requests.

This thread is about receiving Kickstarter Lighthouses primarily.

Now if you mean Pimax Branded Lighthouses? Than no like HTC the Lighthouse v2.0 is sourced from valve.

Yes i mean Pimax BS. The one we were promised during kickstarter. I’ve started new support ticket. At this moment my BS stuck in China postoffice more than a month.
All that i got from Pimax is promises to “speed up” things.
So i try to understand is Pimax Branded BS exist? Or maybe it is another piece of lies from them? Does anyone who asked to ship BS ahead of other promised items got them?

Pimax BS were originally going to be rebranded OEM Valve Lighthouses. Simpler to just supply the Lighthouse. Though if they wanted to add a minor cost they could maybe attach a logo to them.

In the early days it was thought that Valve was going to release designs so others could manufacture their own Lighthouses based on Valve reference design.

Thanks to @Konger and @PimaxQuorra I have got tracking numbers for my base station and accessory orders the last couple of days.

Base station is FedEx so that may be quicker, the order is China Post so it might sit waiting for a slot out for a while.
All good tho, shipping is crazy right now, but the shippers have logged both numbers so Pimax is done with their part.

Now I can prepare myself for this all over again trying to get an eye tracker :rofl:

I’m backer #148. I added 2 base stations to my KS pledge (along with leap motion module and 10m cable). I’ve just put my details on the Google Docs spreadsheet

I have had no emails regarding delivery. I did not have a login for the old or the new online shop and had no reason to as everything I have bought is through Kickstarter.

I did open a support ticket, had to hassle them on Twitter after a couple of weeks to answer it. Got a cryptic response where they seem to be disputing that anyone would know that any base stations had been delivered:
