Missing the speaker device on my Dream Air SE. Running FW 1.0.4.
Aren’t there supposed to be speakers on it? Mic works fine.

Do you have HDMI output to Audio? Pretty sure that’s where PiMax sends the audio - so maybe something gone wrong an install somewhere? I know that on my PiMax CS if I don’t install the nVidia HDMI audio for my Gfx card then nothing comes out of the PiMax headset speakers…
I would file a support ticket. Unless it changed from other pimax headsets there should be a usb audio device for sound.
I don’t have HDMI to test but audio to my monitor over display port shows up.
This was how it was on my 5K Super. I’ll see what support says. Hopefully it is software related since I pretty much won the QC lottery outside of the missing speaker device.
It doesn’t matter if you have HDMI to a monitor or not (I don’t have a HDMI monitor either). Audio to PiMax headsets is over a “HDMI” output (channel) using the Display Port via your Gfx Card and your Gfx Card should have HDMI enabled.
Ok been awhile. Yes it is the DP. Under playback devices you should have one for the Dream Air
Update: @Zakast was correct.
The audio device only shows up when the headset has video sent to it. Without video, the audio device disappears. The device also won’t show up if the generic driver for HD audio is being used. Interesting choice to move it off USB.
