Yeah but that was old incorrect info, see the response from Pimax. They’re 15 ms so that can’t be 85 hz, you’d be pushing our frames faster than a pixel can change.

See closed thread has pimax responses. The web page was being setup & was not finalised. Just testing layout appearance & contains inaccuracies
So what. I from day one pledge Pimax ,and antil now backed Pimax ,but now see in the answers Which seemed suspect,I just want that They will give us all the options to choose because we went with them from the beginning…

Until they can source low latency full RGB stripe OLED, it’s just not interesting. Forget about it.

Let’s us focus on the issue here:
Pimax was and is working on a possible better headset which was presented in Berlin with some issues which apparently have been fixed.
I’m really thanking everyone for the hard work on reviewing and testing but I’m starting to lose respect as you are coming across like being the Pimax PR.
Original pledge promised to provide backers with best VR HMD. This can be different from one person to another. If some people feel like the OLED version is best for them then no one is entitled to question their feeling.
I pledged for the best HMD and of course with risks but if pimax can offer a better version then backers should, in my opinion, be given the choice
Your damage control excuses are making the thing worst.
So if some are happy with 8K or 5K+ that’s fine but don’t patronise people if they feel cheated.
Lost confidence in some people - what else is being hidden from backers ?

Are you talking to me? I could hardly imagine anyone thinking of me as being the Pimax PR, LOL. Anyway, sure, if anyone wants to buy a panel with lower refresh rates, more ghosting and more SDE, just because it has better colours, I’m not going to stop them. To each their own. But simple fact is that Pimax doesn’t even have those ready. It’s a new product that some day will be available. Not sure how you can think of this as something bad, you thought Pimax would stop developing after the kickstarter?

Not addressing it to you at all. I’m addressing the pimax warriros that they feel like they need to jump and justify pimax steps at all cost.
By all means, if there is a headset being developed and proposed to the market then it is only fair to share the info with backers- not just with the privileged few.
Then everyone can make their informed decisions

Still like I said in the other thread, that’s how it always works unfortunately. Companies work on new products all the time. Not sure how this is different.

Might want to link to that official thread on 5KS leak when telling people to go there. I had to dig around a bit to figure out which one it was. Even more confusing in the original really long locked thread where the official posts no longer were; e.g. tomohm’s post has three links back that no longer work.

The only thing I don’t like about the leaked webpage is the image of the controllers. They look lumpy.
I wish they were more like a combination of the Oculus Touch and the Steam Knuckles. The ring around the entire hand looks vulnarable in that design. When falling to the ground, you cannot land on your hands. It may well be breaking the controllers. With the knuckles, touch and even wands, you can escape damage by landing on a part of your hands when falling to the ground when dizzy.
Is their website actually up right now? It keeps timing out on me.
