Hello users, I recently acquired my new 5k+ replacing my 4K unit.
I love the wider FOV however not sure if it’s the resolution or a SDE problem. Compared to the 4K the SDE is now noticeable but I don’t think it is a SDE that I’m seeing because if I keep the head still the effect goes away a little. As soon as I move things look worse than the 4K.
I mainly use the unit for SIMs like flight simulator and the 5k does improve the distance scenery over the 4K. But closer items like the cockpit gages seem to have bad resolution or SDE.
I’ve added a bit of extra foam to find the sweet spot and have the latest software.
When I go into night flying it appears as though the resolution gets worse, lights are blurred gages almost unreadable where as my 4K was actually pretty good and much clearer.
I also don’t see any difference if changing the resolution in SteamVR settings.
Anyone else have a 4K vs 5K comparison or fixes?
