Ok, I have my pc with me an Ill be there morning, might have problem with parking thoug… Not very good spot in nyc for that

We might need to do curbside dropoff and then find parking. I’m gonna look for closest garage, unless a better idea is out there. 10hr parking is about $40.

I think you should only bring it if you plan to share the usage of it. They aren’t doing custom demos on your PC.

When is your slot? Because maybe you can swap your PC in for mine mid day? (I’m there at 10am) Or someone else can? That would let donors only stay half the day, which would be helpful I think.
I have the 6pm slot so that could definitely work. I might just plan on bringing the PC unless advised otherwise
Maybe we could swap around 3PM? We do need clarification around bringing monitors. Would you be up for that? I have a 1-2hr drive each way. So it will be a long day.
My PC has a portable monitor of its own.
Would be smart to know what ports are needed before we bring the PCs. I have a 2080 with DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.0b, virtualLink.

@noobvrguy can’t guarantee I will be there that early so I would plan on staying longer if they need your PC. To my understanding they use DisplayPort you should be good
The people who brought the PCs, can you guys bring Project Cars and test it out too? I want to see what people think. I know you can’t drive with the wheel…but at least you can use the keyboard or controller to test for the visual and SDE in distances when the car is in full motion. And also test out watching movies on the 8KX!! If that’s possible…

I have 2 USB C monitors I can bring if needed.
One is 1080p and one is 4K.
I have not tested them in RTX but I assume they would work with a VirtualLink Port

How many people are bringing their PC all day - from 10 AM onward?
Because unless we have 3 of those we won’t have a great experience.
I’m not taking personal orders. If you want control, bring your pc.

I’ll stay for few hours in the morning and then i need to leave for rest of the day. I don’t mind leaving my PCs for you guys, but I’ll have to collect them back before end of the day.
I can’t bring my own screens. Two PCs are heavy enough already. I have installed several games already, including Oculus exclusives. Hopefully everything goes smooth tomorrow.
