What a dumb argument. I have been in the aviation industry for 13 years now and MFS has always been extremely popular among pilots and maintenance personal all across the board. Its more than just a game. Trying to pit it against DCS is just ridiculous and seems more like just bored Pimax forum users desperately waiting for our X’s
Personally I’m just messing with @mirage335 who thinks that DCS is one of the most important VR titles.
Also Elite and NMS is on Console so what you are seeing on Steam is also the ‘Low end’ of the playerbase.
Not to mention NMS is the only title mentioned in VR that has crossplay with consoles.
@Heliosurge I think the first time Sony hit 100 million Playstation sales, people learned to take them super seriously, the second time they did it, they were legends.
One of our members @MarcoBalletta has experience with these and might be able to answer some questions on the captogloves.
As far as I know, the gloves don’t really work in DCS. But some users are still there.
PointCtrl is a working alternative to operate the cockpit with both hands.
I feel like you guys should just open DCS Barcades if DCS was that popular.
They’ll have the entire setup there you pay for entry/per hour and drinks.
I’m hoping eventually hand tracking can be COMBINED with a HOTAS so you can use both at the same time.
@generic you can use all this hardware also with MSFS/XPlane and other sims…
therefore, thank you for the nice thread
Figures. ![]()
… it’s not like it wasn’t abundantly obvious from your other posts on this forum, or like this post didn’t have to be 20chars…
- a working passthrough cam.
The Index’ cams aren’t working. The Cosmos Elite’s cams aren’t working.
Pimax was more cost efficient and has no cams.
Great.
How are you people ignoring the Pimax Hand Tracker Module? The technology in that thing is phenomenally accurate and difficult to confuse in any way.
It’s just not entirely clear to me how this module will work in this case.

But isn’t the issue with any peripheral (joystick, hand tracking etc) , the not being supported by the games we play?
We have the hardware, but if the games and the hardware are not programmed to work together, they simply would not work the way we wish.
Or am I wrong?
Hopefully enough people push these developers to eventually provide H/T support out the box once more are out in the wild.
You make no sense. DCS is literally Digital Combat Simulator. FlightSim 2020 is specifically NOT a combat sim.
What a strange thread.
Sorry, i do not understad. Are u saying that there is a lot of devices supported by the game?
If yes, the question then would be :
How that support results in actual game playing, because i have a sense that many claim to support something, but then in practice, when you use these devices, you find out of limitation that u did not expect and u remain with a bad taste about it
Really well actually, you may be surprised to find out.
I believe you can maybe also use a webcam.
