This is VERY SHADY software made by some russian and looking like open source but it is closed source and virustotal says BAD THINGS about this closed russian software…. LOOK HERE → VirusTotal

Due to how these things work. It is possible that like pimax software had issues with AV due to installing software in Oculus Home directory. Pimax’s compatibility injector would also raise flags.

Let’s not make oredujice assumptions based on ethnicity that created the software simply due to country of origin.

Note I am not making any statement to whether it is safe or not. As that may need more testing. But like any software ppl need to decide for themselves by evaluating the info available.

Additionally even if a program is open-source. Unless you compile the code yourself. You do not know if the code you reviewed is used in the downloaded program. This was pointed out to me from Falco of the Discourse Meta team. And is quite true.

NO. This is shady software. Everyone HERE should see that. It uses PE PACKER, it unpacks strange things to system32, It Checks if it’s in debug environment - That only one thing is a VERY DANGEROUS no go but there are other things like 7 malware positives etc. This is CLOSED software pretending being open source written by some russian guy. Of course If you live in the world of pink ponys you can run those things good luck for you BUT ANYONE ELSE BEWARE!

I never said there will be issues with program operation. I said software is a unpacking pe, checking if it runs in debugging environment, make suspicious things like active sandbox evasion, allocates memory with a write watch, reads data out of its own binary image?!? and this UDP traffic?

List it goes on and on and on…
Like I said I don’t care what you do and for me it’s not a forum to go technical about it

Send your proof to the developer then. Although the developer has moved to the Quest Pro now so I guess there’s no incentive to adapt or develop this project further. The developer cannot do anything about it (apparently). Probably because they don’t have the Crystal anymore to test against(?). But yes, ALWAYS be cautious…
