How to enable my base stations with Chrystal super

Hi,

I want to know how to enable my base stations instead of the inside/out tracking of my

Christal super in pimax play. Anybody has a solution for this?

Looking forward for your answer.

You’ll need the lighthouse faceplate once it releases for Super

It’s currently available just for original Crystal and Crystal Light

As @XRC said you would typically need the faceplate which is not released.

If you’re looking to do hybrid tracking. On Reddit r/mixedVR is a great resource.

You dont need faceplate and base stations for pimax super to use steamvr controllers ( like index , vive wands or trackers) just buy a pair steam dongles : SteamVR Dongle – Tundra Labs

You’ll still need base stations to provide the lighthouse controllers with tracking.

The dongle provide a 2.4ghz connection to receive data ( using protocol Nordic enhanced shock burst)

majority of steamVR lighthouse headsets will contain two wireless radios to provide 2 data channel for a pair of controllers, the dongle is an external version of this wireless radio

If I’m using Vive tracker then I use a dongle for each tracker in addition to my headset pairing to my Index controllers.

The triad semiconductor diodes in the controllers and headset require laser light hits from the base stations, you can see the diodes here in this disassembled Vive controller, I’ve marked the upper and lower tracking webs

This is a tracking web from Index controller showing the triad diodes
