Is 120 horizontal degrees FOV really possible on Dream Air? According to Martin, it is already achieved. In this video, we are diving deeper into how a wider FOV has been accomplished on Dream Air, by creating new distortion profiles with the help of AI. These (or similar) profiles with multiple FOV-modes will soon be added to Pimax Play and available to all Dream Air owners.
Can we expect multiple FOV Modes on the Super UW as well with upcoming PimaxPlay 2.0 updates? Or is it planned only for the DreamAir?
That’s excellent news.
Offering users several profiles and allowing them to choose the one that suits them best.
I’m really looking forward to it now.
I hope the wait isn’t too long…
It’s currently planned for Dream Air, but for the UW, we’re focusing first on optimizing the existing distortion profile, and then looking at adding the FOV cropping feature.
This is great to hear, FOV was my biggest concern. Giving us the choice lets us choose our preferred balance of FOV vs binocular overlap, eye comfort is extremely important as well.
8KX is set up pretty comfortably but 1-1.5 hours is my current VR limit before I need a break. Not sure that will change, it’s probably my eyes being sensitive but I’d like to see how I feel with the various Dream Air profiles.
Add it to the UW module and fix this nonsense !
As a flight simmer I’d like extra vertical FOV. Is that possible?
I’d be happy with less than 120 horizontal if I could have 100 vertical.

Hi, it’s nice to see a private individual doing with AI what engineers couldn’t.
It would be nice if another private individual could do the same for the other Pimax cameras we’ve already purchased.
But I understand that taking care of existing customers and those who have trusted you isn’t a priority for Pimax.
