Floating controllers after calibration (New 5k+ recipient)

So. After calibration with the latest software, I have an issue of my controllers floating about 7-8 feet in front of me perpindicular to my headset. Which was odd to calibrate (floor level says to set 0 if on floor. But I had to calibrate it at my height instead? Maybe just a miscommunication on their end).

Anyway. Anyone know how to solve this? I can’t play anything currently due to this issue.

I tried following these steps, but when I rolled back to an older Pitool my headset stopped tracking.

Is the latest Pitool (on site page) just not stable?

Pretty sure this happens on all PiTool versions, you just need to delete the folders in %localappdata%\pimax\runtime\config\lighthouse (leave the lighthousedb.json file alone unless you want to have to redo the room setup procedure), then after deleting the folders go into your task manager and kill piserver.exe and wait for it to recreate the lighthouse folder(s).

Always resolves with a pc reboot for me. I tried just restarting steam vr and or pitool with no resolve. But corrected almost every time with a pc reboot.

Initially it wasn’t helping to reboot. Not sure what happened but it suddenly started working great. I christened it with a Superhot VR playthrough which worked awesome. It’s such a step up from my Vive. Although the top Velcro already peeled off the band lol. So I had to glue that back on.

Its because your lighthouses wernt reckonised and lite up in pitool before starting steam vr
