My 8KX 2076 is on firmware 2.1.255.2006. The Pimax software offers me a firmware update. Will I loose 120 hz? Anything else that might get worse?
The reason I want to update, is that 60 and 75 Hz modes only show black in HMD, and I got some games that I can not run at stable 90 FPS.
But there hasn’t been any new firmware released for the 8KX.
Could it be the client update prompt instead?
Ah, sorry. When clicking update HMD it shows no new version avail. I was to paranoid to click it, thought might just start flashing.
Is there any knowledge why the HMD will refuse to show a picture in 75 and 60 Hz? Any settings that need to match?
@PimaxQuorra would be best to ask. The 129hz was only ever ab experimental. So not sure if it was continued as an optional mode.

It’s likely related to the firmware. I’d suggest filing a support ticket, and our tech team will assist you in resolving the display issue when selecting certain refresh rates.
