I used to visit the road show at the MRTV HQ in Dortmund, but Seb unfortunately moved to Taiwan, so Amsterdam would probably work for me.
Btw, good to see the Pimax OpenMR forum is alive - I stopped checking for it a year ago or so when the certificate ran out and wasn’t renewed.
I would like to test the Pimax Super & Dream Air because their specs are appealing, it’s just the execution and in my case some optical discomfort (convergence issues) I have with Pimax headsets effectively since the 8KX generation - no issues with 5K+ & 8K but all later headsets gave me visual discomfort and a headache. I would need to convince myself that it actually works for me, so an opportunity for a hands-on would be a pre-requisite for any purchasing decision. The prices in this 4K generation of headsets on the market are quite steep due to the cost of i.a. the displays so I won’t just take a chance on it - they have to get a number of things right.

Munich! Why you guys never come to Munich!
Two days ago Pimax posted a roadshow stop for today in Düsseldorf, but only one post on Twitter, nowhere else do they mention it. And just the location & date, but no time. The survey which is linked is not being responded to. The location doesn’t answer the phone.
vera@pimax just on Discord posted another stop for Stuttgart in two days - when I responded asking about the confirmation for today, no response.
@PimaxQuorra Calvin, this is really poor communication. It’s a 1,5 hours drive for me to go to demo, and if I don’t know when the venue closes and get the distinct feeling that there does not seem to be a greater desire for actual users to come visit the demo in the first place, I am not sure I want to waste my time to drive to the location just to find it empty.
I am really interested in the Super & DA, but would need to test them for myself due to my experience with owning the 8KX and having had hands-ons with the o.g. Crystal (and also B2B, MeganeX) which showed me that the headsets weren’t there yet where I need them to be for their price tag.
So this demo apparently is more on paper than in real life, I guess. This is a missed opportunity for Pimax - at least if the headsets are in a good shape.

After all Dus would be 4hr and Stuttgart 7hr, I am using an Ultra Wide atm, but would be interessted in Dream Air and the different Opticals Stacks, while UW where the Wrong choose saddly for me

I understand how frustrating it can be when you go to an event expecting to test something and then don’t get the opportunity to do so.
I’ll follow up and get back to you with more information about the Stuttgart event.

But honestly, this was not just poor communication here. The event in Düsseldorf only got posted on Twitter, 2 or 3 days prior to the event, with no time information. No other Pimax channel issued any information at all on this event. And when I tried to contact Pimax on all channels I know (Twittrer, Discord, this forum) there was no response. On Discord in the German Pimax channel we even got the announcement of the Stuttgart event from Vera@Pimax, but when I responded to her asking about the details for Düsseldorf in that thread a couple of minutes after she had posted the Stuttgart information, no response at all. I also tried to contact the venue in Düsseldorf (Sim4Race), no response either (I am not sure, are they still in business - seems quite inactive and they had been trying to sell of a lot of their equipment, it seems).
And then I heard from another user, who is very active in the Pimax Discord, that the Düsseldorf event - being held on a normal working day - was already over late noon time, with exactly one visitor having turned up.
Come on, this was not even supposed to be a real demo - it was posted on Twitter for the good look, but otherwise the team were trying to actively avoid that any user really comes & tries the headsets.
I do not know what the issue is, if the demo headsets are broken or whatever, or the team was tired and needed a day off instead.
But do not set up fake roadshow events just for marketing purposes where we are being mislead to believe we could actually go hands-on. I rescheduled meetings and plans for the evening to make room to visit the roadshow, and spend hours of trying to get more information to no avail. And no, Stuttgart is too far away for me, doesn’t work.
This kind of issues and unprofessional behaviour is part of the story why I have not purchased a single Pimax headset outside of the Kickstarter campaign at the time although I really was and am interested in them.

I completely understand your frustration.
To clarify, it wasn’t a fake roadshow. The issue stemmed from an internal communication breakdown, and some critical information wasn’t communicated properly. Unfortunately, that resulted in expectations being set incorrectly, and I apologize for the disappointment it caused.
I’ve already suggested to the team that, if a roadshow is planned, the announcement should be made at least a week in advance and include all the key details, such as the venue, schedule, and demo availability.
Giving users only 2–3 days’ notice doesn’t leave much time to plan, so hopefully we’ll be able to improve that going forward.
