Very nice to have this running again ![]()
Time to explore walking dead : Saints and Sinners
Did it go away? ![]()
Had the head strap/stems replaced which explains the colourway
Sure, just mods? I hope you didn’t have any faults ![]()
From what I could tell an electrical connection problem developed in the ear stems near where they connect to the headset body
When putting the headset on or adjusting it the headset would suddenly turn off and then come back on with an electrical noise inside the stems.
I didn’t want to cause any damage so stopped using it immediately and contacted Pimax.
Pimax were great on shipping a replacement stem/strap within a couple weeks (considering it’s brand new which means spares are limited) so I’ll keep testing with the new stem/strap and report back
Ah sorry to hear, glad it got resolved quickly. Will pay attention on mine.
As it happens I started getting audio cut outs on the left side of my latest Sennheisers (a lower end gaming headset admittedly), but they’re in warranty so will get that looked at.
To be fair to Pimax they got it replaced quickly and it happens to all brands.
My Valve index headset developed sparkling display caused by tether fault/damage only two weeks after launch day and they couldn’t provide a tether as no spares were available so shipped en entire headset replacement on advance, shown below my “indices”.
Unfortunately the replacement headset had the "black wiggly snakes " (vertical scan line problem) long before they had addressed it with a software so to solve my issue I poached the tether off the new one and posted the replacement back with my damaged tether.
PCVR is tough… ![]()
Just had a session with the Dream Air Lighthouse this morning
Played Compound, In Death (PCVR), The Lab, Pavlov multiplayer. Had a great time!
6 foot Cable extensions working well lets me wheel my PC outside the room and shut the door, short on time this morning so left the PC inside the room
