The local delivery idiots DPD have had my 5K+ since the 15th. I called them today to see why it hadn’t been delivered yet. I was hoping to pick it up myself from the depot. I was told it was lost/misplaced and that they CANT start looking for it (at their own depot) till they are instructed to do so by the seller (Pimax).
Dallas, please contact them ASAP to ask them to search for it.
The frustrating thing is they can’t even start the search till Pimax tell them to. The depot is like 3 miles away as well. DPD. As negligent as always.
That’s normal procedure though. But this sucks man, I hope they find it or something. It’s also a good idea for Pimax to initiate the search so they are aware of the problem and will get official confirmation that the packet is indeed lost
I had DPD misplace my 20 series GPU… after repeated calls it magically went from “delivered” to in “transit” and I got it the next day. But what a shit show having to deal with them, “negligent” is the word I would use to describe them.
I cannot speak for other countries but I feel I need to defend dpd in the UK.
I have never had a problem with deliveries from dpd. They provide precise tracking & timeslots, & I have as of yet not had any problems with damages or losses on dozens of packages over recent years.
One thing I would say from experience of dealing with UK delivery companies is all it takes is one badly managed depot (on any courier) to give them a bad name in a certain area.
Your local depot, depot manager & local delivery drivers will be the main ones who make or break the service.
@anon74848233 DPD is terrible in the Netherlands also. In Europe it is much better to Choose DHL
I had 2 order via DPD last weeks, both of them went wrong!
It will have to be an email to support… Pimax support page comes up with a 404 browser error… at least it does for me. It’s been that way for a while now.
I used to think DPD were the best but they too have been pants lately.
Even today I was due a delivery, but my wife needed to go out during the hour slot they gave. I chose to deliver to my neighbour instead. Got a confirmation to say that was fine and they would deliver to my neighbour.
Just got a message of ‘failed delivery’ saying there was nobody in and a picture of my front door…
So DPD had your Headset since Saturday and on monday you complain that it wasnt delivered yet. And then they even delivered it on monday evening. How can people so impatient. This is exactly why there is so much hate on this forum.
I called to see if I could pick it up from depot since my wife and I both work full time. Neighbours are often out and I didn’t want it left by the front door. There was no complaint. The depot is 10 min away from my house. Easier to pick up then reschedule delivery.
The frustration was because I was told it was lost. DPD have enough of a bad rep from when things go wrong. Even when they actually did a good job they still invite difficulty by telling me it’s been lost. Not so much an issue if it was a minor amazon purchase. A lost, high value, item from China is another proposition.
This isn’t my first run in with DPD. I’ve seen them throw packages over the fence (Like WTF?). Lose parcels before (Thank God for Amazon customer service), rude behaviour etc etc. Maybe it’s just my local unit.
Rubbish I have 2 to 3 parcels a week delivered to my business and DPD are by a country mile the best and most reliable delivery service. They give a 1 hour delivery slot and always meet it. My Pimax was delivered to Spain by DPD (I usually live in the UK) and they delivered it perfectly there as well.
lol exactly, kids these days are all about me me me, now now now.
Even with a tracking number, it takes a little time for it to be fully processed by all the different systems and depots.
So yes OP got their tracking number, got a little excited and wanted to pick up asap personally so rang them
They couldnt find the tracking number as their system had not been updated yet, so the only thing they could say is “It’s lost” because they couldnt find it.
And again it was the weekend when they received it, most couriers do not update things on weekends unless the items has been paid the extra charge for weekend delivery.
