CYBERSHOES on KICKSTARTER

If there is 2 threads can you provide a link for ease please & thank you. :beers::sunglasses::+1::sparkles:

Great ! You were rather lucky as the creators generally don’t intend for multiple orders of the same type like that especially for super early birds.

Hi Dan! I added the link and some text in first post. Is it allright like this? Or is there a better way?

You mean Jamie Hineyman from Buttmysters?

Anyway I’m gonna skip this gadget, rather buy some new PC hardware to fully enjoy the Pimax 5k+ or the Pimax 8k headset.

If they intended to ā€œsellā€ only like ā€œone super early bird per kickstarter accountā€ they should have written so, as there are/were several perks for each pledge. But I donĀ“t think creators did want that but is rather new to kickstarter.

Yeah, lucky me

Backer #4 here. Super Early Bird ends up at 260$CAD, it is a lot of money for this, i hope its going to be worth it.

Backer #72 Here… Looks interesting. Another device that provides movement in VR is WalkOvr (walkovr.com)… roughly same price …They are taking pre-orders right now (I pre-ordered) but very soon will start their own Kickstarter as well. If I understand correctly, their pre-order will stop soon and you’ll need to go to their kickstarter if you wish to purchase. I’m looking forward to receiving both devices!

That suits a different market where you have more space to roam. Cybershoes seems to suit the semi lazy and those lacking in space

For anyone who is also interested in these accessories, i just wanted to let you know that they are live on Kickstarter now and 90% funded in the first hour :grinning:

Cybershoes on Kickstarter

Make that 100% funded!

Number 151 backer, looking forward to giving those a shot.

You’re walking in place… that’s the same amount of space as the stool! But I do agree, Cybershoes is more ā€œsemi lazyā€ā€¦ I can see myself getting tired playing something with WalkOvr and want to keep playing with Cybershoes. Hence the reason I wanted both.

Woohoo! Backer #44. First I went without the chair but then changed my pledge to the €389 with HĆ„g chair. The custom ā€œsturdy steel base that is covered by the Cybercarpetā€ looked so flawless (scroll way down on KS) that I just had to have it.
Now I’m even more excited for everything! And I reeeeally want that wireless for Pimax…

To be honest, if one is in need of a new office chair, this kickstarter could be also the way to go, because those Hag stools are nothing less than ultra super crazy top of the notch kinda great chairs. they are crazy expensive and if you get the cybershoes on top its a great bargain. especially with the early birds.
and that stool they are delivering with the shoes is even greater because of the saddle-like design of the seat. i can imagine its just super funny and also great for immersion, to take a nice ā€œwalk with these stoolsā€.

cheers

its the ā€œ2xCybershoes+2xCarpets Super Early Bird!ā€ ^^

You just keep making profit :+1:

I’m not so excited about that cybershoes gadget, might be fun to try, but naah, I’ll pass.

does the walk in direction of shoes truly go in shoe direction and NOT Left hand wand direction, as in you can twist your left arm a lot and still move forward.

You have two options in the CyberShoe software… either go in the direction of the shoe or the direction of the HMD. I saw that in MRTV’s video and the creator of the product mentioned it as well in the chat.

Okay I just want to completely 100% confirm its not a hack or something, I couldn’t check footage to see if he twisted his left arm while moving forward, as so far we can’t do that in VR.

and about strafing, I heard it’s not being done, but in that case can the software block A and D strafing unless the feet are in motion, so in that case I will still have to move my feet?

I’m with you TrevorVR, Like the idea but I need hardware to run the pimax first and foremost. I don’t think my 1080 will cut it for either HMD :frowning:
