Cooling Fan for Comfort Kit

Cool that’s good news if you can make a comparison it would be great but whenever you have the time would be appreciated
Then I’ll give it another try thanks for the reply :ok_hand:t2:

I’d say that the blades of the 30mm fan are designed better from the look of it. The 25mm fan are making noises exactly as you described.

Are you saying you couldn’t feel the breeze with the 30mm?

I modified the Eye Tracking peg using Meshmixer, at least I think I have and I’m not sure if it will turn out good once printed. Here’s the file link here: Modifyed Top Peg

Ok So I think I am finally have the Final Cut for the Snorkel Fan. I am sticking with the 30mm fan I listed as it is so quiet, I cannot hear it at all. In fact, I forgot and left it one all day. My battery system is a 2 cell 18650 3000mah pack I built and leaving it on all day only used up 50% of the battery capacity as it pulls only .20 amps.

This 30mm fan is so quiet, I stuck my microphone right up to it and could not really register noise. The breeze is still nice and gentle but it seems maybe just a little bit less than the 25mm fan. It still works so the noise trade off is worth it. If you really want a breeze, then try a 12v fan, but the noise would drive you nuts. I guess someone could come up with installing two of these snorkel fans, one on each side of the strap. So far, as I live in Northern CA we don’t have high humidity so the little breeze is perfect to keep my face cool and glasses fog free.

Because I do not want to forget to turn off the fan again (not good if you run down LIPOS past about 3 volts per cell) I installed a green strobe I had from my FPV RC loose parts. Work great, It’s crazy bright flash but I doesn’t pull much power and I will not forget ever again. Here is a pic of my wiring harness;

I will take a look at your modified Top Peg;
Kindest Regards,

Great Job @thenic123 , I just printed your file and measured the inside width at the top and it is shown in the pic. I also inserted the Peg and it fits fine. I put a link to your file in the Snorkel Fan site.
Well Done!

Thanks for the feedback. I don’t even own a 3d printer so I couldn’t print some tests out @Sidekick1 as I use treatstock and looks like it needs a little sanding to smooth the rough edges flat. How’s the strength of the pegs arms where it attaches to the back and does the top strap slide easier while adjusting it?

Seems strong enough especially if you print it is PETG. I did this test print with PLA for just proof of concept. My strap fits into the normal one as I have the DAS mod on the 8KX.

Ok thanks for the update I’m definitely going to have the 30 mm snorkel printed because the fogging it’s so annoying practice makes perfect :ok_hand:t2: I have my stuff printed in nylon it looks great and it’s so strong :muscle:t2:
I’ll give you an update what I think about it when I’m finished :wink:

Gezzz I can print nylon but never tried it - PETG is plenty strong so You should be able to hang from your strap with nylon!!

Yeah well I can’t print but the company that printed them they had something new to print nylon so if you need something strong that also looks really professional this is the way to go they told me so wel see for youreself these parts look great :ok_hand:t2:

@tadnyarahul Did you end up receiving your facial foam from VRMust? Which thickness did you order? Can’t decide whether to order the Thin or Thick version. Might go thick.
