Changing the pimax_default.jpg not sticking?

I have tried several different times to change the pimax_default.jpg to a jet black image ( same exact image dimensions ), and every time it resets the image to the default white pimax logo with stars, am i missing something here?

the file to change is in C:\Program Files\Pimax\Runtime\ ?
or
C:\Program Files\Pimax\Runtime\resource?

trying to avoid any possible future lcd burn in.

any help is appreciated, thanks.

C:\Program Files\Pimax\Runtime\resource

The replacement .jpg filename should be pimax_default.jpg

The effect doesn’t go into affect until after PiTool/HMD/Restart Service.

And the logo is replaced with every PiTool update…
