I have got a pair of captoglove and captosensor.
Looking forward to test them and share what I can achieve with them

Hey just a bit excited to hear your thoughts on what looks to be an awesome vr gadget.
The potential of these captogloves and captosensors is endless. The customer service and development team of captoglove is incredible. They followed me from before buying the gadget (I had a lot of questions) to after (I have ideas for the use and questions).
I think there will be even a more cooler use soon of the captogloves + captosensors to give actually a new cool experience to non vr games that we play in vr headsets using vorpx.
I think we will not be seating anymore to play those games because we will not move anymore in those games using hands via keyboards or gloves or console controllers, but we will move using captosensors on our feet and we can use hands with captogloves for hands inputs in the games
The captoglove team is working tuning their software for the above use and new features will be added soon.
I will definitely post a video when their new update is out and I will be able to try it myself the functionality on games
The cool thing of the gloves and sensor is that you can assign functions to every single finger of your hand and even double functions to single fingers depending how heavily u bend a finger or how hard you press the sensor on a specific finger. Moreover you can assign mouse or keyboard functions (or other functions) to the whole hand motion because of the captosensor that is in the glove . There is a sensor on the top of your glove that track your hand movement and you are able to assign function to that too. So it is not just assigning multiple functions to 5 fingers but also assign functions to the movement of your hand. It is so cool!
The software that comes with the Glove and captosensors allow to assign to the gloves and captosensors
mouse functions
joystick functions
keyboard functions
console controller functions
functions to each single finger bending and pressure on the finger tips
Thanks to the sensor in the glove, you can play with setting up things related to
acceleration
barometer
axis
I am still learning the full functionality of the glove and again, the team seems in continuous software development, hence it is a pair of gloves and sensors that gets new features with the more passing time. It is not a dead gadget whose functionality and use is restricted in time and becomes obsolete.
I think they are even working on a modular add on to give haptic feedback to the gloves.
Captosensor team have already created a few pre settings to play some specific games with their gloves, out of the box
For example u can play :
Crysis 3
Arizona Sunshine
and there are other pre setting configurations. Moreover you can make your own setting for any game you want.
The limitation is not in the gloves for vr games.
It is in the vr games. Because no vr games is meant to play with gloves yet. But because captoglove and captosensors are a very flexible tool, it is possible right now to play with captogloves vr games when developers left the possibility to use the keyboard in their games. I know though that capsoglove is working on the possibility to replace the vr controllers with their gloves, because the gloves can definitely do that/have that hardware capability to do that. I have a lot to say about these gloves and sensors and myself I am learning more everyday but time is restricted so it will take me some time.
Awesome over view! Hopefully & with you having a good rapport with the developer would be to have setup profiles like the steamcontroller has that can be shared with default reccommended templates. If they don’t already have something like thus planned.
Really looking forward to your next review! Thanks again!
Thanks! I asked your question/idea and I am waiting for a reply on that. I will let you know.
I hope that in 1 of the next replies to this thread I can post some videos while trying the gloves.
I think it would be nice to have/make a list of vr games (both vive games and Oculus games) that give access in the game to the keyboard and mouse to play the game.
It might be possible to play those vr games using the captogloves. It would be nice to try
I wonder if it is possible to use Leap motion with them on? Maybe you can map buttons in driver4vr for any VR game.
Hi there. I could try.
Can you please tell me what use u are thinking of the leap motion with the gloves ? What the leap motion + the gloves could do together ?
Also , I am not familiar with driver4vr . Can you please direct m with its use ?
I just ordered the leap motion so we can try together if it is fine with u.
Thanks!
I am not sure how the captogloves work, but with Leap you have basic 360 degree inside-out handtracking. I guess Captogloves don’t have positional tracking? I was thinking Leap could do hand/arm positional tracking, whilst captogloves do rotation etc.
Driver4VR is software that enables multiple different tracking/controller solutions to work together. It also lets you map buttons to any bluetooth controllers so I was thinking it could enable captogloves to play any game in steamvr.
I would ask Greg on the Driver4VR forums if you are interested in the potential uses.
Yes. Can you please contact Greg on the Driver4vr forum?
I meant you should contact him. I don’t understand how the glove works. I think he will be interested.
I opened a topic/thread on già forum
I entered Altspace for the first time last week and saw the gap between those with and without hand controllers. Even with simple fist/palm/thumb-up and point gestures, there was a world of difference.
In VR without FOIP, hands become the most expressive part of your avatar.
These would be amazing if they were integrated.
I have a question i saw that i can buy this captosensor for $190. What does this device do? Is it realy needed? Very tempted on buying.
@MarcoBalletta Are you still happy with your gloves?
They are in continuos under develop product. They are continuity working on updating their software and they are also working on an add on to add haptic feedback to the glove. As for now , the gloves can be used for pc games, mainly non vr games. It can be used with vr games that still leave active the possibility to use keyboard to move, so that u can assign key strokes to your hand gesture. They are working on the full support for vr , replacing the vive controllers. I think they are showing that function with the pimax headset now, but the software is beta and not available yet to us consumers, but definitely it will be soon available. Their technical support and consumer support is great. They answer you and take care u before the sale and after the same. I suggest you to contact them with all your questions before you buy.
I think they are gloves with great potential and you are not buying a dead product but a product in continuos development . If I were you, I would contact them and I would ask them is they are working on a version 2 of the gloves to see if you prefer to wait for a version 2 or you would go for a version 1.
The use of the gloves as for now , is best for non vr games, but again, soon the gloves will have full integration in steamvr and would be used to replace the vive controllers
For now they can be adapted for a few games by assigning key strokes and mouse strokes to finger gesture and hence using hand to move in vr games that have active the option to move using mouse and keyboard
