I’m running my RTX 4090 with an Intel Core i9-9900K to power my Crystal Super, and not as pleased with the performance as I would like to be. Before I upgrade my GPU to a 5090, would anyone recommend upgrading my CPU to an intel Core i9-14900K, or changing over to AMD’s Ryzen 7 9800X3D ?
I’d recommend AMD’s.

The i9-9900K is badly dated and I would need to swap my MB even to upgrade it significantly, so it makes sense to convert to AMD at the same time. I’m wondering if I will see a significant boost in performance.
Recommending change to AMD, my migration went smooth and I dont have to reinstall Win 10 . Just swaped all drives from intel PC. Boost is significant. You can find many comparison @YT

Loving this idea, choosing parts now. Thinking of going with the MSI MPG X870E Carbon motherboard paired with the Ryzen 9 9950X3D. I have 32 GB of DDR5-6000 CL 36 memory now… wondering if I should upgrade that as well.

I’m now running a 9950x3d as I’m waiting for my Super to arrive. Partner with my RTX5090 which is th best one to use with the Super and the light to give maximum performance and power
