i have strong mura only in left display, right is ok, bought on amazon 3 weeks ago.

can you write are you ok with mura on white solid colour screen - eg browser. when you bought a hmd and do both the left/right displays have similar mura? i got an impression that my left display just wasnt calibrated at all.

if i return hmd to amazon i loss 250$, but i afraid i can get worse unit if i buy another one. at least i dont have other hardware issues rather than left display mura, but its very distracting

My first 8kx had bad mura,it was too much for me… My last 8kx has less mura and with this one its okay for my standards.

Every lcd screen has mura… even my old hp reverb g2 but on this one its very very hard to spot.

The worsed mura was on my star vr one…

I think the mura levels are definitely different on various headsets. I can see it on mine if I look for it but it is muted enough that I don’t notice it when I’m not actively trying to do so.

today got new index and got right display mura, left eye is total mura free, :cold_sweat: thats curse, its better than on 8kx but still is very noticable on white solid colour - browser (((

is your 8kx mura equal in both eyes? Can you please check in browser mode

the funny thing is that my old 2019 index has no mura, just precisely checked it, g2 that i got in 02/2021 has 1 dead black pixel right in the center, awful QA for all the brands

every LCD has mura. Sometimes more sometimes less. Even simple transport can change it due to smallest mechanical stress.

i dont care about mura i dont notice, but those 2 hmds have very noticable only on 1 eye, it looks like this https://www.avsforum.com/media/no-title.22332/full, on other eye its very light and looks like white screen, kills the whole immersion in light games - DCS sky

I’ve never noticed any mura on my 8KX, so it’s fairly subtle on some units.

It’s why I assumed it’s a faulty unit as it looks like one display just wasn’t calibrated, because another eye looks very clear, but I would expect it from pimax but not from index, and my old index completely had no Mura, which is very weird for me, last time I had such a mura issue was Samsung Odyssey+ and cv1, I hadn’t it on 5k+, index, VP1, cosmos. I have no any mura at all on g2 at least noticable one which can be distracting on white scenes

So I guess I need to sell those and try luck with another units as index is no return for me, while in usual games and steam home there is no noticable effect but as soon as you look on the sky or use browser it pops up, I would like to have Amazon option for replace but they said they only can return it and I need to buy another one, but customs fee with delivery was about 300$, very expensive to pay 300$ per try :confused: I’m waiting until Amazon sells all the stock and get new one, so it may have better chances for better Mura
