If we go back to the first post I did, I told you the device was not final and should not be mentioned as final. Thats all I asked for.
Obviously, you want to keep this public so let continue then. 1 hour before you published the video (before I posted here in the forums) @mixedrealityTV I asked you in private to ‘please edit out the part about final unit’. You said no you wont. I asked again and pointed out the importance of why you should remove that statement only. You said no again. It was so important to get your video out it time.
I also pointed out that the main reason you got a test unit is because I pushed for it, long before CES. So please just respect that we cant state its a final unit.
Then you said NO again. And added a video card. And said “dont worry”.
Now you are blaming me for making a thing of this?
Marcin, take a word of advice and call it a day for today.
The discussion with Sebastian should take place in private, not in public.
If Pimax feel he doesn‘t honour written or spoken agreements, discuss this in private.
Usually part of that would be to double check all facts, including communication by other Pimax reps with Sebastian.
Think of your reputation and as Foreverseeking is saying (in just as rude style as he seems to be condeming you for…) - don‘t be a Trump dishing out posts before letting your temper cool off a bit …
Let’s just face it. If you are one of 3 in the world of getting an 8KX test sample, not because of your channel or PR, but because you have been a good tester in the past, then you should respect the simple guidelines which follows:
No review, no unboxing of bubblewrap and just say its a non-final unit.
“Just as rude”… trueish , I would say just as aggressive. But I do not work for Pimax, and I would never in my wildest dreams talk to customers or business associates on social media in any form like this whilst representing the company I work for.
Just making a point, as I have see Martin lose his sh$t now once too many times and I think Pimax have an image issue as it is, I expected him to help fix this… not make it worse.
I think the confusion revolves around the fact that Seb has been *both an official tester and reviewer (same issue with Thomas/VoodooDE) and this combination of roles has led to a failure of expectations.
Because Seb’s primary role is MRTV he automatically leaps to “reviewer” and in many in the Shanghai office he is still also a tester who can provide some valuable feedback to insure these devices measure up to our best hopes and expectations. We were impressed with the high quality reports from Martin, Seb and Thomas and those contributed to the headsets being adjusted repeatedly until they achieved at least some subjective levels for visual experience.
In the future we certainly should include a document with any outgoing headset that details what type of sample it is (developmental, alpha, beta, pre-production, release candidate, retail ready etc…) and if we are asking for technical feedback, opening it up for reviews (and if so any areas that are being updated such as the audio on the MAS so it can be officially noted during the review).
These notifications have previously been suggested and hopefully we can provide these samples in a more professional manner moving forward.
I have to agree with @SweViver on this. If I was one of the 3 people in the world to receive a test version of a product and the company reached out to me with sudden guidelines, even if they mistakenly hadn’t provided them with the product, I’d respect their wishes. My personal thoughts are the video should have been halted, edited, and uploaded at a later time.
Martin, I do not doubt for a minute that you are working your balls off. I believe that very much. I believe the reason you are acting so causticly recently is because you are stressed off your tits because the workload is too much for you right now.
I am simply saying… stop with the public outbursts.
You are damaging all the good work you and others are doing at Pimax. Also don’t write negative things about people or assume the worst of them. Stick to facts. In management stick to FIT.
Go to bed, sleep it off. Only write positive messages like you once did.
