:slight_smile: im bringing unseen TTL images to the community. Others are saying Im doing a bad job and the images are mialeading. At this point, Im not surprised at all.

If I wasn’t an enthusiast, I would never bother anymore.

When you no longer trust Through-The-Lens images, macro photos and hundreds of individuals on roadshows saying the 8K+ is way better than 5K+, then it must come down to the fact you dont want to believe it.

It’s not about trust. It is about scientific accuracy. If your interested in trying what I pointed out with Static image you will have something that can really compare equally. This was also the point of the cyrube benchmark. A rendered ride along for consistent test among headsets stressing limits.

Get me some Gold kryptonite and I will trust Macro shots as It will mirror reality of what one sees. Just beware it also kills people after awhile. :laughing:

Its just sad. Whatever I do lately and whatever I publish for the community is getting questioned and argued against. And provocative comments leads to discussions and eventually fights. And then I get blamed of course. Every time. Because I try to stand to my point.

So anyways If you don’t really see a difference in 8k(+) then I would go for 5k+ or 5k super for 120/144hrz and 160/180hrz respectively.

There is nothing wrong with having faith in your viewpoint as long as you don’t make it the only one that matters. Which is the point. As others have pointed out folks whom have received the 8k+ have remarked it is not as big of an upgrade. Are you claiming their experiences are invalid?

Remember these folks do not have macroscopic vision and have had time to experienced dual headsets with there naked eyes.

I have never viewed through the lens or macro shots as a real alternative to direct xp. Only a vague reference as you yourself once said.

PS no one is blaming you. Simply trying to have a healthy debate of which differing viewpoints shouldn’t be taken as personal. :v::sunglasses::vulcan_salute::sparkles:

What I said is true from a technical standpoint. These images are a result of a lot of time spent and I am sure anyone whom has also made some would take offence to you if you criticized there pics as much as you would if they did the same.

I do know William spent a lot of time trying to make good video TTL. People appreciate your efforts but not when you choose to make it as your opinion or nothing.

I will never stop being amazed about the vast amount of wasted brainpower on these forums (or any forum, really).

So many people know everything there is to know about everything. Some You could even call specialists… It’s almost like in the real world where somebody does something for a living, and end up being experts in that area, only here some people are experts in everything… Amazing! :clap::woozy_face::crazy_face::exploding_head:

I can fully relate to how annoying it must be to have “prove Yourself” against keyboard warriors all day long when You’re trying to give them what they ask for…

That’s shocking! If someone like him doesn’t know about this, even fewer people must know (about the setting) than I previously thought.

This just proves that Pimax needs to do something about this ASAP. At least include changing it as a step of the setup guide. Otherwise, the headset will almost certainly get bad reviews.

This is something if True Kevin said there not allowed to have Pitool installation change. Now this could be a good opensource project program much like Advanced OpenVR settings to create a simple program called something like Pimax SteamVR settings Optimizer.

Unfortunately its not Pimax or Voodoo’s fault Steam/Valve cripples VR resolution on purpose and makes high-resolution HMDs look bad. And the fact (recently discovered by Matthew) that Supersampling above 100% adds blur is another one.

There might a solution to force this setting upon new Pitool installation, I will double check with engineers.
