Sometimes windows will not start when my pimax is connected.
Every time i start my computer the startup pages do not show, and the monitor stays off until the computer reaches the sign in page. Then once in a while the computer will turn on but the screen will not respond and gets no signal. I will force restart the computer 3/4 times and eventually it will start up correctly.
The only way I never run into this problem is if i disconnect my Pimax. Then everything works fine and i will get a error page saying windows did not start properly you need to restart. There are no issues once the computer is started and i can connect and use the Pimax perfectly.
This would not be a problem but the computer is built into a sim racing rig and it is very inconvienent to have to unplug and plug in the HMD every time i want to use the computer.
also check your eventlogs for anything that is timing out… as what you are describing is a drivers timing out… it may or may not be the pimax driver. also turn off non essential startup items that are coming on when you turn on windows. it may be that one of these may be conflicting with some hardware… i.e. skype, trying to start and it applying your pimax headphones and its not working…
so… disable skype at startup and see if windows behaves itself. (this is just an example - but check what other non essential windows apps or devices are starting when windows starts.)
