The HMD will still work with 3DoF without base-stations, so you can still play gamepad games and watch movies etc.

On my survey for the 8K X Full, there isn’t even an mention about the controllers/basestations nor any info about shipment dates.

I am one of those people that used the discounts and I still have no survey backer no. 39X.
You should probably contact Pimax if you chose the Custom/No Pledge option with the discount…for further clarification
I kept my early bird and switched my discount for a hand module…
I’m not sure what happens with No pledge/Custom if a survey gets sent to those pledges or not…

Just point to which one you like more.
For me it is still just alarming that many people don’t understand what kickstarter is. How can people invest hundreds of dollars into it without knowing what the difference between “buying” a product and “pledging” for a crowdfunded project is? This is a mystery to me…

There is no survey in my email received from Pimax staff. There is no survey in any menu in KS.
Where is the survey they are talking about ?
I am contacting them. I asked them before the kickstarter twice if I will get what I ordered. They said yes. But I have no survey.
Me too. They said that it will be ok. Maybe no reward backers don’t receive surveys automatically.

Pm him with a ss of your pledge amount. With info on BE discount.
You may need to give shipping address. Ask for email confirmation

By email I was assured I will receive survey via Kickstarter. But I will contact matthew also as you said.
Yes in your message to matthew detail a ss with your pledge.
Mention the BE discount and list the items you pledged for.
Ie on mine. I pledged for esrly bird 8k full. I also wanted hsnd module & early bird 5k full.
KS already knows of. The 8k early bird full.
For me at the beginning of the survey had option to list what extra. This is where i detailed.
In your case detail what you pledged for.

In one message in my email , I think that xunshu is saying that I will get the survey in KS.
Anyway I am confident there will be a solution for my species (we are few specimens)

just got the survey for my Pimax 8K, I am backer 7,090 
Thanks but I understand what kickstarter is and dont need to be educated. My point is that Pimax is not a startup and they used Kickstarter to launch a new product. That’s fine! But they sent a risk assessment to assure backers of delivery dates. Base stations were stated as being a low risk item. Now instantly we have 2 month delay on them
Not even expecting anything in Jan.
Seeing will be believing.
