Yes and they have indicated they will release a model that will have 2x DP
Probably sometime in 2020 along with the scent and wireless module

Correct me if I’m wrong but the headset that will support native 4K per eye if you got the horsepower to run it is the 8K X right?

Correct, X version supports native resolution and you need a proper amount of horse power which is equal to next gen Volta 2080gtx.

Yes that is my understanding - I have ordered the 1440p upscaled and will probably do the upgrade to the “8K” native in the future when I know what GPU I will have at the time.

Well, you pay all in once. Need to check our cards at the months end. It’s either ‘its already charged’ (or will be at the end of campaign) or will be days/weeks before they start to ship. Not really sure if i understood the question correctly.
They charge at the end of the campaign from what I know. But you should consult other people I generally avoid kickstarters.
